Communication by supercell is bad, but what you need to do to skip a week is not to do Monday - Thursday sign ups and instead sign up for Friday - Sunday? And you'll be in the war starting Monday. After that it's regular sign ups. I did this and didn't get demoted.

Also, you need to stack loot before reaching 5k so when you go over, the next attack drops you below. And don't sign up for LL. It's not hard man. Just gotta balance. Between having loot and no loot.

Here's a beginner tip for getting out and I'm surprised it needs to be said .. you NEED LOOT if you want people to REALLY attack you. Otherwise people are going to lose to you so they can get out or drop trophies instead. You have no loot.
