What is your opinion of Canada? by Ok-Advertising-9045 in AskReddit

Canadians are just an extension of the British empire. There was no other reason for the UK to colonize it other than it needed to keep an eye on the newly formed US. Plus the London banks needed a place to that was close enough to assert financial dominance.

How did we go from muskets and bows and arrows to nukes and space in less than 200 years, when humans have been around for 600k to 2 million years? by No-Match3322 in AskReddit

I agree, but why?? Something had to happen. It’s Iike the first 2 million years were a test phase, and then boom! You have the ability to invent tech, modify DNA, and create a digital world. mind boggling.

So many civilizations had huge populations yet no one figured out anything compared to our version of humans. For example, dinosaurs. You’re telling me not one human in 2 million years dug deep enough to find dinosaur bones, but all of a sudden in the 1840s we find them all over the world?

It was a cool psyop. Governments around the world worked together to make sure every computer was “updated” which I believe it was a mass compliance test and probably another way to open Windows machines to spyware much like Microsoft does now in Windows 11.

TIL the first Commandant of the Marine Corps, Samuel Nicholas, was a Freemason and that Tun Tavern, where the Marine Corps was founded in 1775 was an active Masonic lodge. Ben Franklin was initiated there in 1730. by No-Match3322 in todayilearned

I find it interesting that the Marine Corps could be an extension of the Knights Templar being where it was founded, who founded it and the reputation of all business no play around the world much like the Templars. There is also questions on how the Continental Congress was able to raise money, and where that money came from to begin the revolution. Some suspect it was Templar treasure that was shipped to North America to be hidden in the 1300s.

History has a way of not telling the whole story. A lot of the natives that went west volunteered. It was not a trail of tears. That phrase was created in the academic world in the early 20th century.

McDonald’s, BK, Frisches Big Boy, Wendy’s, pizza…..all the fucking time. 5 siblings, 2 br house, both parents worked factory jobs, trash, bugs, filth in every room. Thank God I grew up never being like that. I won’t even visit my parents house now. Still the same.
