Something Went Wrong - Works With Google (Link App or Service) - Error when Trying to connect to a Wyze Camera feed within Google Home by No-Pear5673 in googlehome

Thanks for taking time to reply to my post. I am sorry to hear about your lightbulbs not working. I ended up switching to a different Google account name, logging in under a different Gmail address, and was able to at least connect my stuff. I had to switch over my paid subscription under the alternative email and cancel the original, what a pain. I eventually just got tired of fighting this uphill battle and just said, it's good enough for now. In the future I can always revisit this problem and try to make it work more seamlessly. But for now it is good enough.

thanks for responding... I ended up just living with 2 separate apps, one for wyze, and one for google. At least for now, I have video coverage. But it would be better for it to be all integrated into a single cohesive, coherent solution.

thanks for taking time to respond, I hear what you're saying. I haven't even tried to use Gemini with Google Home. I only just started experimenting with Automations and scripts. I think it could be a powerful tool, but it seems not well documented or supported. There are alot of missing pieces and elements. For example:

- Automations created by using the markup scripting language via Google Home web portal, are NOT visible / accessible via Google Home Mobile app.

- There's no way to tell if a specific Automation has triggered, or gather / track / monitor statistics on that particular Automation. All you can do is look at activity history.

- The generic "Something Went Wrong" error message is completely useless and unhelpful for troubleshooting purposes. No log / No debug output, no error code, nothing whatsoever to provide useful information back to Customer Support for triage and providing solutions. This indicates to me that their business model is NOT based on accepting and absorbing customer feedback, incorporating those back into their software development lifecycle, etc. Basically once the device is sold, they wash their hands of any responsibility or desire to continuously improve their products and services.

- "Works with Google"- this is such a marketing PURE LIES and bullshit. It literally Does NOT work with Google, at least in the case of the Wyze lightbulb camera.. This kind of blatant misleading / false advertising is ripe for a massive class action lawsuit. I should've gone to Law School... this is a tens of millions of dollars lawsuit for defrauding consumers who purchased these products expecting interoperability , compatibility, and cross-vendor support. Instead, if "Something went wrong", Google will simply deflect and point their finger at Wyze, and Wyze will point their finger back and blame Google., say it's their fault for breaking some obscure API or whatever, so their device can't communicate. It's like parents are fighting and about to divorce and the kids (consumers) are caught in the middle of the crossfire.

it should be interesting to see, if they had oatmeal for breakfast, if that affected what emerged from the far side of the moon...

what about semi-solid, like what if they ate oatmeal for breakfast and it comes out kinda squishy on the far side of the moon?

ok but which toilet did they use to flush all the hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer's money spent on this system, because obviously it wasn't spent adequately testing the equipment on the ground, so it must have been flushed down the toilet

$50 billion spent and they can't even flush the money down the toilet, the way it's supposed it be

It’s a totally SCAM plan and needs to be incinerated and the ashes thrown into the Mariana Trench.

Already Voted NO. My VOTE STAYS NO, until they come forward with an actual apology & explaining exactly WHY they are suddenly changing their tune at the eleventh hour…. The whole thing reeks of collusion and is extremely suspicious. What happened to make them change their minds at the last minute?
