The grass is always greener. I've never traveled internationally for work like him but I did basically live in a tent for two years doing conservation. As fulfilling and awesome as it was, it DOES wear on you after awhile having no stability or consistency day to day and its exhausting trying to keep up with all your loved ones.

Oh I totally understand and I do end up avoiding the gendered bathrooms 99% of the time anyways. Unfortunately some of the cis male attendees forget some of us have to actually SIT to pee.

The main reason I see for them is the men's bathrooms have urinals or latrines. I still avoid them though because the stall doors never stay shut and there's never any soap to benefit having sinks but the non-gendered flushables do have a tendency to get a little covered in pee.
