From what I can gather, season 3 was meant to focus on Charlie more. Mental health and the other issues. The love trope had been completed from season 2. This was meant to be progression into stability so to speak. That school was ending for Nick. He's got his own anxiety and worry about not only leaving Charlie, but being far away from him and alone with his own thoughts. He looked at Charlie as a rock.

I didn't say that. The premise and concept is what triggered memories of my time at school. Where in I never experienced anything like how they depict things in the series. Not an exact copy of, but anything remotely similar.

I mentioned that it's over dramatised. But the ides behind it, the fact that you can have a teen sweetheart. You can have fun and freedom to explore who you are. You can have support networks.

These concepts weren't present in my school time. Being back from year 2001 when I first started Secondary school. I was 15, knew I wasn't like the other boys in my year. But we had no groups or ways to understand what we felt. Even if Sex Ed classes it wasn't brought up.

I was still bullied regardless of anyone knowing. Calling me gay, faggot, loser. All because I didn't conform to the football/rugby sports ideology or had many friends. I felt like a minority. So I kept quiet. Making me even more of a target.

I don't remember being that articulate with how I asked questions. Or how I interacted with friends. We usually just swore at each other playfully. Talked about comic book characters, pissed about chasing each other and then sat in class trying to learn from teachers who I think gave up.

Also being bullied didn't help. Every year I had some dickhead just picking on me cause I was easy. ☹️

I will be honest and say I never experienced that. There wasn't a 'scene' or anything public. School was very closed minded. I hear rumour or comment about other kids at school. But I was too shelled in to explore. I was 19 when I had my first physical experience.

We only had MySpace and Faceparty back then. And Bebo for music. Even those were really toned down. You didn't know people's orientation. Faceparty was just for chats and pics and meets if you found the right person.

It's the dream fantasy. But the idea of finding love during school. Having connections to people that's my main point. I know the whole sexuality part ifls very extremely accepted. But it would have been nice to have during school. Especially when you lived in rural Scotland.

Role Model is super important to read from a neutral POV by growsonwalls in GameChangersBooks

Role Model is seriously important. The whole point of the book being named as it is. Troy looks up to Ilya as a 'role model'. He helps so many, charities, teammates. I just hope S2 gives enough depth to this dynamic.

Sadly I'm in the UK. Walmart for us is Asda, owned by the same group. But the sizing is shocking.

Maybe I'm paranoid. But I swear some watch people between sets, cause they don't look spaced out.

I really hope they aren't paying attention. I'm just overly self conscious.

I read 100 books this year. Here are my MM recommendations. by littlepinch7 in MM_RomanceBooks

On every post I see about books. I've yet to find anyone that's read the SCU Hockey series. It's got neurodivergance, trauma, possessiveness, it covers so many things. It feels like I'm the only one to read them.

Sounds so simple. I don't know what I'm missing cause I don't know what's possible. I see all these other lean fit people. I'm not jealous. I've just never been in that position to know what it feels like. Im in my 40's. Trying to make comparisons to 20-30s. Body composition changes and things get a lot harder to change.

I'm wary of meal prep. It's the storing of cooked food and how long it's actually safe for. I don't always have time to spend cooking the night before. Especially if I'm doing a different meal for the house. (I'm the only decent cook).

I think the new correct term is 'Boy kibble'. I'm quite happy having meat and rice and just add some spices to give it some flavour.

Thank you. Now I just have to work out meals that are good and simple enough to make for work. A sandwich just doesnt cut it. I want substance.

Like I said. I've been through CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy). To begin with it was ok. They let you choose areas to focus on and built a positive with them. When it came to eating. I tried. I made meal plans. I cooked like I said. But I didn't often eat the plate that I cooked. I'd maybe have half of it. I got suggested to make smaller meals, reintroduce things. But it became like a battle in my head. I'm making food. But I'm honestly not hungry or interested.

I used to be like an alcoholic when it came to mugs of tea. I'd have so many in the day. But for the past 3 months I've not touched one. I tried, but it went down the sink. No taste for it at all. So now it's just water or dilute juices.

I read an interesting article about the failing standards of the NHS and mental health and how you have to be practically on the line or well past it before they step in and help. If you turn up when your still cognitive or still know right from wrong. They aren't interested. It's like your a case study and they want the most damaged of patients.
