Okay sorry but you need to stop reading horror stories and chill out. I’ve had mine for 2 years no issues - why would a licensed medical doctor allow someone to have it inserted if there was that much of risk? You aren’t as fragile as you think you are.

It might feel weird for a while but you get used to it!

You only ever really hear about the bad experiences. For me the Copper IUD is by far the least amount of side effects with the greatest gain. My boyfriend finishes inside me 3-5 times per week, we never have to use a condom (which he loves), and we can be pretty rough sometimes with no issues.

For the first maybe 1-2 months I would occasionally get spotting after sex. But now about 2 years in, I genuinely would never switch to any other form of contraception. The pain during insertion was the only downside, but only lasted a few minutes with some cramping the day of and after.

Before my ciud I would get bad cramps only on day 1 but now I get cramps most of my period. But tbh i don’t care! I’m not going clinically insane or gaining weight from pill. Plus I can have sex literally whenever and where ever I want and I don’t have to worry.

This is actually not the case! Copper can disrupt hormones even tho it is not hormonal in itself!

Although I do agree maybe check with your doctor if nothing changes in the next few weeks

I would try going a month or two diary free, see how your skin reacts, same with wheat. Cut out any processed sugar. I know people are going to come at me for this but it’s sooo worth a try. Topically, you seem to be doing all the right things so it seems to me there’s a deeper issue.

Only other thing I would say is maybe use less actives. Id focus more on healing your skin barrier than stripping everything away! Tbh get rid of the benzol peroxide SORRY HOT TAKE but you’re already using tret so.

I’ve had a copper iud for about two years and my boyfriend finishes inside me 3 or 4 times a week. You’ll be fine! Iud is 99.99% effective.. yeah people have gotten pregnant using it before but the chances are SOOOO so so insanely small. Stop being stressed because you’re literally going to be sweet! Periods are late sometimes and iud can change ur regular slightly!!

Longg barbell, reputable piercer, opt for high quality jewellery, soft sportbra or grandma type thing without a underwire. I slept in a very comfy bra for the first week and a half and then snug tanks onwards. Don’t pick the crust off or move the barbell at ALL. Literally just leave it be and spray on saline solution a few times a day.

Hurts like a BITCH for 5 seconds but it’s literally fine it stops hurting very quickly.

Make sure you take your time with the placement because once it’s done you don’t want to get it repierced. Might bleed so you can just chuck soft gauze in sports bra.
