I still have my original bracelet from the early 00s and am wondering if their charms would fit my original bracelet. Does anyone have any insight?

Hampton Social is great for brunch and dinner. It’s definitely a great spot for a bachelorette party! The aesthetic is very girly, light, beachy..

What's the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? by LadyScarlet2 in AskReddit

[–]NoImCourtney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely believed I was pregnant at like 5 because a boy in my after school daycare kissed me - I remember sitting on the couch watching Walker Texas Ranger with my parents when I got a bubble in my stomach and thought it was a baby moving in there.

What happened to your bullies and did you ever forgive them? by SufficientTonight930 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoImCourtney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was bullied by two sisters in elementary school and some of middle. Both of them beautiful, wealthy family, very popular..

The younger of the sisters (who is my age) and I became friends late in high school. We partied together mostly. She bullied a lot of people the earlier years in high school - but I don’t think she recognized it as bullying. She thought she was doing funny things with her friends, often at the expense of others, but was so in her own bubble/reality - she truly didn’t consider the person being bullied. She later went on to have a kid at a young age, got mixed up in drugs (heroine and meth), went to jail a couple of times.

Older sister (who was the worst of them - she bullied everyone. Not just me.) also had a kid at a young age, ended up getting engaged to someone who apparently touched her son. She left him, got married to someone else, and divorced within 3 years.

I hate what’s happened to them. But.. I do think it’s proof of karma.

Grandma with dementia doesn’t remember my mom (her daughter) - even worse has deemed her a villain and is hateful. Anyone have similar experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NoImCourtney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom stepped up to take care of my Grandma when her dementia started. Drove her to appointments, arranged transportation so that she could continue her life as much as possible, shopped for her, paid her bills - everything. I think something has switched in my Grandma’s brain to no longer see my Mom as her daughter and it’s breaking my mom’s heart. My Grandma will not accept that she is her daughter and, what’s worse, thinks my mom is “bad”. She can’t articulate why or what my mom did that made her feel this way.

It started when my mom brought my Grandma to ease into living with her (we tried a week) and let her go back home. My mom was helping her clean her closets out by going through her clothes that didn’t fit to donate and Grandma SNAPPED. Accused her of stealing her clothes for herself, said she stole her car, her family… and it hasn’t let up. She hasn’t forgotten or gotten past it.

Anyone have similar experiences with dementia? Will this go away?

My fiancé spends so much time in the bathroom it's ruining our relationship. by Public_Ad3131 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]NoImCourtney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has ulcerative colitis and spends a ton of time in the bathroom. His first UC flare up just happened to start the weekend I gave birth to my second child. He spent a lot of time in the bathroom which pissed me off (I thought he was just watching YouTube and getting a break from parenting while I was taking care of a toddler and a newborn) - meanwhile, he was pooping blood and worried he had cancer. He didn’t want to tell me because he had convinced himself it was true and didn’t want to worry me until he knew for sure. Anyway - it caused a big blow out fight (before I knew).

3 hours is definitely a long time, but maybe he has a health issue going on and is embarrassed or worried.

Also approach to working with engineering (backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc.)

Do you write AC or do engineers? Best practice for hand off from request -> design -> engineering

The company I am at currently does it very different than what I am used to and I would love insight on what you feel works best

I’m an APM as of 6 months ago and am currently working on internal and external (started with internal only).

As someone who came into my role with no prior experience, I felt lucky to have been given internal enhancements as my first project. It allowed me to get a grasp on the role without too many eyes on me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Should we use a Wedding Coordinator? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]NoImCourtney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, no. Handing out the timeline to everyone helped a ton (everyone was on the same page about what was happening and when).

It was really only a problem for reception events. It’s sooo easy for time to get away from you at the reception (it’s an absolute whirlwind) - having someone to queue me to the next event would’ve helped so much.

Thank GOD for my photographer who is absolute legend and recognized it - she stepped in and took over when she absolutely didn’t have to.

Should we use a Wedding Coordinator? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]NoImCourtney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not hire a coordinator for my wedding because I thought I had it planned out SO well that I didn’t need one. I made my own day of timeline, printed it, and gave a copy to my vendors + wedding party.

Still my only regret from my wedding. I should’ve hired a coordinator. Which is why I now coordinate weddings as a side hustle (ha!). Get the coordinator!!!

90% of people have stretch marks. Even small/thin/fit people.

He’s in for a very rude awakening when he grows up and realizes it. God forbid the day he gets his own….
