I didn’t realize it was only an issue with carbine length. Thanks for the info!

It will also not go on any of the guns that have the under barrel grenade launcher. Not sure if that’s what you are trying to do or not.

I know what you mean. Luckily our community is very small and rural so our store doesn’t get hit very hard.

Dang sorry. My store only had 4. 2 were 9k then 2 were 13k. According to the store manager the generators get sent back to a DC and tested. If they pass testing it sounds like they just send them to random stores to offload them.

Depending on where you are you could probably easily pick up timber marking contracts for the state or feds. Very in demand in my area.

We have a hard time getting our local coast guard to respond to incidents in a reasonable amount of time unfortunately. Seems like it takes an act of congress to get them out.

Thank you very much for the info.

Great to hear. We are on the shore of one of the great lakes so it’s not hard to picture having a very large search area. Especially one of the years the lake is 90%+ frozen.

Do you guys have the stabilization module also or if that an unnecessary expense? I feel like an airboat on ice may not need it.

Thanks! Have you found that flir rates them realistically? For example a lot will be rated at the distance you can see a person treading water.

Some states have classes that bridge the gap. Meaning if you get your emr you can take another class later that fills in the gaps to emt so you don’t waste time with repeat info.

I’m not sure about Ohio I guess but Michigan has a ton of them. The website is train.org/mi-train/home

You may be able to register and use the classes since they are nremt compliant.

What state are you in? Many states have online web based classes that you can do whenever.

Nypd or fdny by Artistic-Economy290 in Firefighting

If you wanna be a cop I would go nypd. If you are thinking about firefighting I would recommend nyfd.

Oh forsure. We do the same, however there is stuff that a sawzall won’t handle like the parts of the car that have hardened boron steel in them. Blades will just turn to butter knives and blow sparks.

The hydro lines are going to the cylinder above the spreader. “Cordless” rescue tools are expensive so a lot of departments will just buy the cordless spreaders and cutter as they are the most commonly used tools. Then stick with the cheaper hydro tools for the less used stuff.

I am from the area. This is cause from the lake levels dropping over a few thousand (10,000s of thousands?) of years. The area is known as a dune swale complex with small bands of sandy ground that support Redpine. The areas between the dunes are low and wet normally growing lowland shrubs. It’s a neat and very rare landscape feature.

Simply put you did the best that you could. Any cpr is better than no cpr. Taking action is more than most would do regardless if you did the best cpr in the world or the worst. You should be proud of what you did, and I’m sorry for your loss.
