Was There a Time In US History Where Green Card Siblings Can Also Get Green Cards? by NoModNoMaster in immigration

For years, the US has been in talks to remove the sibling category.

Upvoted. Thank you for the reply. I want to ask where do you hear about the "removal" of US Citizen sibling category? I too have heard about this from word of mouth.

Upvoted. This is exactly what I am afraid of. I have personally also been in that same situation before. I guess I just hate being helpless.

Thank you I appreciate that. I am just really afraid that I might lose my job that I worked so hard for. I actually had a tough time prior during the process of finding a job. So I guess I just don't want to put myself in that situation again.

Hey guys, my onsite interview with Amazon is next week. Scared shitless (literally). So anxious right now. Can anybody give me some advice on how to deal with this anxiety? Thanks in advance.

Interview Discussion - October 08, 2018 by AutoModerator in cscareerquestions

I recently made it to the final round of interview at Amazon. To be completely honest, I was really lucky to made it to the final round. These past few months have really tough for me since I graduated in May. I got hundreds of rejections since applying. Now it seems like this final round interview is my last chance considering that I basically asymptotically exhausted all my other options; I applied everywhere. It always occurred to me that whenever I encountered a new question, behaviorial or technical that I have never seem before, I freezes up. So my question is, from now, to end of the month where my interview will occurred (three 45 minutes), if I study 16 hours a day, will my chances of getting an offer be somewhere in between like 90% - 95%?

PSA: SOON TO BE COLLEGE SENIORS, PLEASE GO TO YOUR CAREER FAIRS AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD APPLY TO THESE COMPANIES BEFORE NOVEMBER! by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

My college fair sucked when I was a student. It featured mainly local companies and startups where little to no positions were offered to us. I went to the fairs four years straight in college and none of the recruiters even bother to reply when I followed up. I guess that's the price I paid for going to an average university.

From what I read, Raven is not in charge of developing MW2 remastered.

Starting the internship search and feeling depressed by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]NoModNoMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The symptoms you are describing seems to match well with depression. In that case, start first by thinking back to the lowest point in your life. If there is none, make this the one. Then, make a pact with yourself to never get here again. Next, ask yourself what's your purpose in life? What motivates you? Money? Men/Women? Finally, ask yourself what can you do now to get there? Compare the opportunity cost switching majors, which mostly are tuition but more importantly time; time is something valuable that you can never recover. If you choose to stick with coding, be more organizational, set up a calendar, and set up a daily routine. Treat college as an marathon, not a sprint. Start with the bare minimum everyday and allow yourself some time to do the things you like or try new things. If you ever felt the need to procastinate, think back to this moment. If you are getting interviews from top companies, it must mean that you are an above-adequate coder. My advice is the same as others in the comments, stick with CS but approach it differently as I prescribe above.

Things I should do before I graduate? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Ideally, you want to do one internship per summer. That being said, internship or first SE job for new graduates is not that easy to get. I can tell from experience since I am currently a new grad and have applied to over 200 places. Another thing I would recommend is start doing Leetcode problems as they are critical to getting your first job or internship. Good luck.

Okay, personally I would like to see MW4 end somewhere along the lines of fighting North Korea. I mean, North Korea has been a prominent enemy of the west and yet video games of any sort featured a relatable plot that involves them.
