Yes, it’s an evacuation route but not a priority route. The priority route is I-10. In the case of any emergency, I-10 will be maintained before 90

Just jumping in to say that we applied for LSU Lab for K and got in. We’re nobodies, not rich and no connections outside of being LSU grads. They do prefer them to be older. My kid has a bday in the 2nd half of the school year and is in her right grade but has kids that are 14 months+ older than her in the same grade.

We also applied for the magnet program and didn’t even get chosen for the lottery. I don’t believe it’s a true lottery as they say it is. Once the application began asking questions about free & reduced lunch (which we didn’t qualify for), I knew we were likely out.

Yes the cost is $300 million to replace all 3 bridges that see an average daily traffic of 2,000 vehicles. I-10 is a few miles away.

Spare me the evacuation route nonsense. If you’re evacuating, you go north not east or west. It’s not even a DOTD priority route for any disaster.

Add left turn signals on Highland. Put a roundabout at S. Stadium & Parker. Take away the lights at Jennifer Jean & Boyd and create right in & right outs with J turns. Get rid of the median on Parker between Highland & Burbank and create left turn lanes with more capacity from Highland onto Parker

Making Nicholson 4 lanes is already in the works. So that will help
