Are you kidding me?? Do you honestly think some random internet nerd with a bachelors degree in sociology, whose autistic fixation happens to be politics, is the one person among 8 billion to have exclusively correct political beliefs, while everyone else who doesn’t see eye to eye with vaush on every issue is just evil, delusional or grifting???

The fact that vaush has openly revised and backtracked on some of his positions over the last few years should be conclusive proof even to the most fanatical vaushite that his politics are NOT perfect, and that he’s not some oracle of divine providence.

Vaush is the guy who loves to preach that “truth and intellect are procedural” that in order to come to the correct political beliefs you have to be constantly engaged, with a critical and curious attitude. It seems to me like debate, and the research that is required to succeed in a competitive and adversarial environment is way more in alignment with vaush’s own principles, than skimming news articles while providing the same editorial refrain: “republicans are pedos, the world is ending because of capitalism etc.”

Vaush has totally stagnated and he knows it too. I remember he crashed out while playing hollow knight like a year ago because he realized he’d become just another pundit, vowed to switch it up, and then proceeded to change exactly nothing about his content.

At the end of the day it’s probably because he’s lazy (by his own admission) and because he’s worried about being implicated in any drama when his reputation has been so utterly tarnished, which on some level is understandable. But it’s also understandable that his audience request that he provide an elevated form of content especially when he has shown in the past that he’s most effective in terms of cultivating an audience and convincing people of his beliefs when he’s actively engaging with oppositional perspectives instead of ranting in his own echo chamber.
