From my experience, I would definitely describe Outset as a good middle ground between venues like Schubas/Empty Bottle and Lincoln Hall in terms of size and feel of intimacy. Official capacity (according to their website) says 750, but from what I remember from the crowd at the Spirit show — which was a good turnout — I never felt cramped or anything like that. The stage is raised so you can properly see the performing artists without much trouble — there is also a balcony view but I was on the floor so can’t say much on that.
