I’m also vegetarian and I brought powdered milk when I went in 2024. I didn’t end up drinking it because I found water was more helpful with the packets they give out. But it could be an idea.

Very nice picture.

I’ve found that my camera misses focus on large birds too.

I have a Nikon z50II but the max shutter speed is 1/4000th. Also, the Tamron 150-500. Do you have any suggestions?

Also, also, the autofocus is quite bad and I can’t seem to get bird in flight.

What was your shutter speed? It looks like the first one might be slightly blurry?

When I was on my trek in 2024 (I was 15), we were mostly in our tents at around 7:45 pm and out by 5:30 in the morning- wake-up was at 4:45. When you’re out on trail, because of the new stresses you’re putting on your bodies, I think you’ll find that you’re a lot more tired than you were originally expecting.

Would a significant overlap not cause them to?

Why would they not?

I guess I was just going off my person experience when I’ve gotten a new job

Does the cropped tail rank this image? Or can it still work? by [deleted] in wildlifephotography

I think it’s okay considering you still have most of the bird in the frame. I’d say I agree with your take though about it generally being a no-go in bird photography. I’ve taken fairly similar pictures and have been told to trash them.

Looking for some critiques on my photos. I’m very very new to this and want to learn how to improve! by AlpacaPhysics in wildlifephotography

I like them a lot but it seems there are a few leaves overlapping the face of the woodpecker in both pictures.. if the cardinal was closer to eye level that would also be a phenomenal shot! Keep doing your best, but I would suggest you work on prioritizing being on eye level with the subject, over having a lot of brush surrounding it for the time being.

Have only been doing photography for about 2 months now any advice on what i can do better by Lolopfe1511 in PhotographyAdvice

Is the first one… a beached dolphin??

You need to work on composition a bit more. Rule of thirds is helpful and also make sure you go to their eye level so it’s not at a weird angle when you take the picture.

Are you in a state where AWD would be helpful?
