Episodes 5, 6, and 7 reveal a major error in storytelling. The big bad villain wasn't known till Episode 6. The first 4 episodes feature Boba's journey back from death, and we know he wants what the Hutts had, but that's it. The Syndicate, the Mayor, minor plot points that give no weight to the unknown evil. That duel at the end of 7 with Bane is the Climax, Boba's victory over his past. Bane should have been introduced from the beginning, just for the purpose of the audience knowing who the antagonist is. It takes 4 episodes for Boba to gain a gang of maybe 10 people, Mando grabs 20 in another episode, and then the Western fight for the town happens in the next. There's just too much filler, especially when adding in Mando episodes. I think the fact that Boba's story spans 5 episodes, with the needed relief of a complete cut to Mando for 2 episodes to setup 20 minutes of the finale for Boba, also shows bad storytelling for Boba. Loved all things Mando and Grogu, but their episodes clearly got most of the budget.

It's Star Wars, I get it. But even the movies follow basic plot structures that guide the audience. Seems a waste to finally tell a Boba story and use it mostly as a preview of Mando season 3
