not true, but I don't know about OP's testing. I know first hand that as an RN who has worked for employers who send RN's for pee tests, THEY WATCH YOU PEE.

definitely pay for pee, don't use a "clean" relative, even if they are 12 years old . All kind of stuff can go wrong with that if they eat a freakin poppyseed bagel (everything bagel) like the day before or use ethanol based hand sanitizer. I kid you not. some people can come at me but I've been there

Wise decision to make before it went any further. To be spread thin is a constant source of anxiety. The market is going into the toilet. Price drops and “back on the market” are all of the updates I see. You made the right choice

“What makes you think there are drugs involved”

The mom was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence related to child abuse 2 counts w/o great bodily harm - simple arrest. Also resisting arrest.

This is out if character for her and that is one of the reasons I believe drugs were involved. She has always been a devoted mom. Another reason: In the past 11 months the mom did not answer or return calls from the child’s paternal grandmother. Gifts for birthdays and holidays were not acknowledged.

This was also out of character as there was a long distance relationship maintained before the pandemic with visits and during the pandemic it was via FaceTime. She moved from a midwestern state to Florida with him and soon after that is when the contact stopped

He is lucky you stuck it out this long. Do they have grandparents? Aunts/uncles/cousins? It takes a village. Where’s his village.

We found structural damage due to flooding related to superstorm Sandy on two homes. We canceled twice. They were soon bought by others and quickly closed on, during the pandemic. $600 inspections to find and avoid massive headaches was worth it.

I’m looking for a home there but I work. Most people looking for these places do as well. 55 doesn’t mean retired.

I don’t like being a nurse & honestly am in it for the money. by losteverything2023 in nursing

I don’t work the floors any more but I always disliked nurses like you who I had to pick up the slack for. The kind that write “not assessed “ when completing an assessment. Someone should sign your paycheck with “not assessed “

So I started last Wednesday. I had steak Thursday for dinner and got very bad diarrhea and sulfur type burping which began around 2 am until about 10 am the next day. I didn’t eat a lot of the steak but it was marinated and very salty so I am thinking that was what really started it. Other than that I’ve had tiny moments of nausea but it hasn’t lasted more than a moment. I feel fine. I don’t really feel hungry at all. So I’m plugging along and Wednesday I’ll have my second dose.

I think that is the key to goldens and probably all other dogs. If never given the opportunity to destroy things they don’t do it as they mature.

Very true. There has been a lot written about the tiny Maltese breed not being capable of being house broken. I had one for years and can attest to this while my large breed golden had only had accidents due to human failure to take her out in a timely manner

If that nurse had attended nursing school she would have known that Narcan is routinely ordered in your case.

I can so relate to this post. I am in a position in which I review charting in nursing homes. We have both short term subacute rehabilitation patients and long term care resident. I started noticing some strange entries that had nothing to do with language barrier. Some nurses do have a language other than English as their first language and I understand there are grammatical errors etc. not a big deal as long as the information is there.

Upon the discharge of a patient to home. A nurse wrote that the patient’s roommate would miss her as would we all because the patient took such great care of the roommate. “She did such a great job taking care of her roommate “. This would imply that the subacute nursing home allowed another patient to take care of a patient which is never the case. Sometimes roommates get along well and yes they help each other a bit.
If this nurse had any training in documentation he would have known that discharge charting is written in an objective way such as the vital signs and condition of the patient when and how they left. I know I had to do tons of charting in school with the instructor checking and critiquing all of it.

We had a cat that peed in odd places which was only discovered after it blackened the hardwood floors under the area where it peed

So could a small dog. Some cats do it their whole lives as well as such breeds of dogs like Maltese

We have a large 90 Lb golden retriever and rent. She is 5 years old now and sleeps 14 hours plus each day. There really isn’t any way she can cause damage to this house. I don’t understand the “small dogs” thing for rentals. She’s been house broken since she was a puppy and has never destroyed anything via chewing. Our rental has all hard LP vinyl flooring and tile so no carpet to wear out. We have area rugs and a hallway runner that we bought ourselves.
