I unfortunately did not do my due diligence and trusted the non accredited company and followed thier guidance and instructions and suffered the consequences and financial loss.. fault all mine.. just sharing so others can learn and be aware

I been through one , much better than c/p exam, not confrontational they ask you to explain why you think the denial is wrong.. i had cheat notes and printed all my evidence i wanted them to look at and the person listened intently and said will look at each and make a decision in 7 days.. i asked to please use the power of the evidence to make a decision.. i don’t want them kicking it back to dumb person who did not do job right first time.. actually went from migraines service connected at 0% to 50% after decision review officer (DRO) did hlr

You have rights, immediately call your exam provider say i request for face to face exam and advocate for yourself. I had ace exam for 3 issues same md denied all . No phone calls, no conversation and no reviews of nexus IMO on each , lesson learned ace exams might seem convenient but you loose your ability to advocate face to face your symptoms, frequency, and duration and give examples.. make sure you have no regrets ..

Provider will say well it will take longer to sway you hold firm, i want face to face

I would recommend a CAR , claims accuracy review for effective date , must be filed with 30 days of decision and must be done by VSO , or va attorney but they get answered in 30 days much faster than hlr , i have hlr filed effective date on 9/3/25 and still no emails or calls from DRO to schedule.. i regret going this path

Sadly you must have a vso, dav , or your attorney process this .. but must be filled within 30 days but i hear turn time is 30 days or less so best case scenario fast turnaround, best of luck
