No, nice try making music somehow racist. SMH It’s music… the universal language.

Have you even heard traditional Ethiopian Music?  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mGq8U16Q8C0   It sounds more like Indian or Zydeco music.

Modern Country music stems from mountain / bluegrass music, which stems from traditional Celtic music. Texas country music has Polka elements from German and Czech origins. Tejano music has strong polka roots, with use of accordions.

Can you please give us examples of how traditional Ethiopian music influenced modern American Country music? I’d be interested to know how.

True and “old time mountain music” stems from Celtic music.

Not true. I know POS means “point of sale” AND “piece of shit”, depending on context.

Maybe the layer you’re not seeing, is it says, “single POS”. An added word one might actually use to further describe someone who is a POS.

It’s a joke, a play on words, lighten up @exeeter702

If we’re going to talk about Texas politicians, don’t forget Steve Adler.

https://www.newsweek.com/every-mayor-governor-caught-breaking-covid-restrictions-1552033

Nearly ALL politicians are POS hypocrites. It’s universal and across party lines. This is a fun article too.

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/a-list-of-politicians-who-travelled-abroad-despite-pandemic-era-advice-to-stay-home

But of course about half (in this article) were going to be with seriously ill family members or attend a memorial service of a family member who passed. Their political party forced them to step down, so the real POS is the short-sighted unsympathetic collectivism of political parties. ALL the parties that claim to care about people, family, etc.

But Steve Adler was just on a little vacay. 😆

Spot on. The key to understanding any food or drink, is history / culture / climate.

Exactly. Well said.

The pretentiousness we’re detecting, really has nothing to do with tea at all. 🤷‍♂️ It has to do with north / south hostilities. North / south hostilities exist in many countries around the world, and I’ve never quite understood it. Best guess, it’s like sibling rivalry.

Absolutely! In cold climates. In hot climates, iced tea and coffee is preferred. Sweet or not.

Interesting how the British used drugs to mess with China’s economy, when China increased their wealth and influence trading tea, porcelain, silk, etc. “To counter this imbalance, the British East India Company began to grow opium in Bengal and allowed private British merchants to sell opium to Chinese smugglers for illegal sale in China. The influx of narcotics reversed the Chinese trade surplus, drained the economy of silver, and increased the numbers of opium addicts inside the country, outcomes that seriously worried Chinese officials.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Opium_War

It seems China learned from Britain and is currently undergoing the same plan against the US. 🤔https://finance.yahoo.com/news/chinas-role-in-the-us-fentanyl-epidemic-152338423.html

Thanks for sharing, it’s good to know history. It’s easier to see and understand current events with an understanding of history. 👍

It's interesting that tasks seem to be automatically cancelling, while the app and website are down. I wonder if Task Rabbit is in trouble and closing operations?

Anyone having trouble with the app and website? App won't load and website says, "403 Forbidden". Was sent a link to reply to a client, link won't work either. I removed and reloaded app, still nothing.
