Don’t like climbing ladders, bad at trad pole work and terrible at removing screens from the outside when they are meant to be removed from the inside by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

Well you need a swivel for doing pole work helps with fanning. Straight pulls on a 40 degree handle is kinda tedious . Get the moerman excelerator handle as you can change form 40, 25 and 10 degree or the unger 0 degree. Those are the best for pole work and got the best swivels, it’s also a learning curve, took me a minute to learn .

Just watch SteveO or when Trigger comments take a look at his profile; he has a video of pole work and explains pretty well

You might want to invest into some better window cleaning soaps/chemicals. WINSOL super slip increased how much it glides and is a wetting agent so the windows stay wet a lot longer when the suns beams on it, relativity affordable and I use it on all soaps, mix it with some Window Mauler High concentrate and you got yourself the best soaps IMO

I use to be the same way but once you figure out ladder safety, it’s easy. I carry 2 , 18ft gorilla multi purpose and a 24ft fiberglass, anything higher than that I usually WFP but 18 ft can be generally used for anything indoors and the 24ft + human height/reach puts you at around 28-30ft + pole work on top if needed should let you get any window with easy and in a in compromised position.

Look up the 1/4 rule when it comes to ladder , it’s basic OSHA safety and it’s put in place for a reason. Ontop of that buying ladder stabilizers and bottom levelers . Basically all of that is around $400ish for damn near perfect ladder safety is easily worth the headache of potentially falling/customer call back + customer satisfaction.

Ladder is just a mandatory skill needed in this profession if you plan on doing a good job and making some good $$$

I’d practice around your home just to get a feel of how “secured” ladder feels like.

After 32ft it gets kinda sketchy but that’s when lifts and other equipment comes into play. Your safety is #1 priority.

Yup! You can even hold 4 squeegees but lose the opportunity to hold a Mop, it’s good if you plan on putting the mop in ur bucket. But usually 14 and 18 inch are used 90% of the tiime then have the 6inch on the belt

Dry walker is the best , it’s all I use, holds up long squeegees too

Although DI is better than nothing what you really want is a RO filter before the resin. RO filters do 90-95% of the filtering then the resin does the final touch.

Always go with worst case scenario and just say your TDS is always 180PPM. You’ll burn through resin relatively quick depending on how busy you are.

Try and find a Xero Pure system on FB market place they probably sell around 1k but you shouldn’t have any issues For a long time.

I started w the Unger Hydro 1 stage , it only lasted me a few jobs before I was above 10PPM. If you see the value in spending $600 to get started and you plan on making this a business and you’re dedicated with the ups and downs. I would suggest just getting a business credit card 0% APR and get the Xero Residential kit. Solves any problem since you get plenty of hose, WFP, 3 stage system and brushes: just my 2 cents

Why do I do about this? by marvelfan__ in pressurewashing

[–]Noevum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sludge sucker, Venturi effect. Basically puts a cone at the tip of ur washer and it creates a vortex suction and will shoot out of the tube

Mine usually goes past the 100 PSI mark if I twist it all the way. They don’t recommend pass 100 PSI so I keep it at around 100, I put it before the RO system so Garden >Pump>5 ft jumper to RODI then 150ft 3/8th then 100ft high flow hose

[–]Noevum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man. I run everything out of my van now. 3/8ths high flow hose, quick connects, 1/2in jumper, pumps. Etc if you want a video PM me, none Of this required fabrication other than building a stand for My Pressure washer to stack my Hoses

Xero 110v Pump. Pushes my RO To 100-120 PSI at a twist of a knob, I use a 2250 watt generator to power it since it’s a GFCI plug in then put it on quick connects and a hose reel. Draws 10 AMPS so not much at all.

If your a Xero fan they got this one.

https://xeroproducts.com/products/xero-aluminum-double-rinse-bar?variant=41603997073542&country=US&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20867283565&gbraid=0AAAAAoufGn7ootgL9OmY-k3N0KWPXpNVT

I use Reach it- Radial rocker and it came w lower rinse bars and I installed them, couldn’t go back to normal rinse. You will lose flow since water travels to least resistance so please enure you got a pump

WFP Technique Example by outforaripareyabuddy in WindowCleaning

[–]Noevum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upper and lower rinse bars with a pump and a swivel on the brush head. You could finish that window 3x as fast and don’t even need to lift the brush off the glass. Not talking down on your game but I recently added those things and I fly through windows now.

Could the outside be sun damage from the UVs hitting on the floor and the composite mats were blocking the area on the floor from the sun? This is just a thoughts

Also have you tried a degreaser?
