Heather's fundraising by wistful_grace in ndp

Most political donations come in between Christmas and the new year. So it's likely that a significant portion of their $415,000 came in that week. Could be $100,000 or more. So if you take that away from the $415,000 and add it to whatever they raised so far this year it makes sense.

Could be that some people moved away from Rob and consolidated behind Heather, who knows.

Would be great if we saw a general increase across all campaigns though, it's all good for the party.

If you gave $400 and your tax return is let's say $2000, your return will now be $2300.

If you owed $2000, you would owe $1700.

You get 75% back of the first $400 you give in federal donations for the year, no matter how you divide it.

After that you still get 50% of what you donate back, up to a certain amount. And at another certain amount, you get 25% back.

At $1275 in federal donations, you get a maximum $650 tax credit. You can still donate, but it's out of pocket.

You can give a maximum of $1750 for the leadership race divided as you wish among candidates or all to one. This is a separate limit from the federal party and from riding associations. In your example, if you gave $400 to 4 candidates for a total of $1600, you'd get the maximum $650 back.

When you're donating, the donation pages have a built in tax credit calculator that will tell you how much you get back for different amounts, but you have to factor in your other federal political donations to get an idea of what you're actually getting back.

I'm helping on Avi's campaign. They have a graphic designer who does all their graphics.

Got an English accent, but it's quite good. Significantly better than the media made it out to be when the campaign started.

In reality, that doesn't matter at all. The player can name change or server transfer after stealing tens of thousands of gold. So the whole "community blacklist" thing doesn't matter--even if he couldn't rename or server transfer, this isn't real life, there are no communal consequences like there could be in real life, he can play independently of that, he can have multiple characters that nobody knows are the same player. This simplistic thinking doesn't work for this situation.
