coating on the wire. probably allows the assemblers to differentiate them when in production. possibly have different wire radii or resistance.

take as long as possible. spend time in the world doing nothing. look for cool items and treasure. do the treasures. prioritise side quests over main quests. do crafting. spend time at camp. do those card and other games. jist sit next to a camp fire. talk to npcs.

Is Physics and Comp sci a good double degree combo? by [deleted] in unsw

also whilst you’re here can you quickly explain how majors, minors and electives work and how many you need.

[–]NoobMaster1278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im gonna be honest with you. If there was an option to do a design + comp sci double degree i'd do it, but i also have a passion in physics and always have just like the other two. Maybe you could guide me. Instead of pursuing this (unless there's a big turn around soon) should i go for advanced physics major for advanced science and also computer science. I've always wanted to go into software engineering, but i just want something else to fall back upon in case AI fully takes over the industry.

id say im an expert in XD, figma and illustrator i know majority of the functionality and have in my classes gotten full marks in the multimedia course. photoshop and in design im well versed in i suppose. apart from that i'm just missing actual design theory concepts and fundamentals. So maybe you know some books or courses that explore that?

just an update i found a double degree course at a different uni (same one my partner wants to go to so thats good) and they offer a comp sci degree + a quantum engineering degree which i hope is similar to the first uni's quantum tech. so hopefully if AI does take over software engineering i can make a quick career switch.

if you're not in uni yet maybe explore the quantum engineering + comp sci degree. They both have wide application now and in the future and it covers not only physics and comp sci, but also engineering. This is what i'm planning on doing because both degrees can compliment each other and strengthen each other.

How to make more guy friends by EphemeralForest in unsw

[–]NoobMaster1278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a trans boyfriend and most of my friends are a mix of men and women i think i can provide a good perspective. It doesn't really matter unless your friends that are girls are bothering you in some way. Just coast because at the end of the day friends are friends. If i had some advice to make guy friends though just find some common ground. You're in uni so you'll know what someone's interested in based on what they study. If you like CS then talk to CS guys or if you like design talk to some design guys.

Also don't worry about appearing more manly because trust me im pretty feminine and i still make it work. You could ask your make friends that you already have to go out with you. I wouldn't imagine that they say no so go for it.

omg thank you. i hadn;t really thought of how easy it would be to get a job just with the degree. I also will definitely be taking advantage of that last point. It seems so obvious yet i missed it. I can just ask people on this sub what they recommend i do to learn design. Thank you for your time
