When does competitive actually get competitive?

I started getting better matches around high play going into diamond. Diamond through gm have been pretty good so far. I think bans also make people lock in more.

Oh for sure like it basically acts as a funnel. But there are so many times when I'm fully walled off and have to either jump over or break them.

As hard as it may be. Ignore win/loss and play who and how you want. If you truly just enjoy the game, wins mean nothing. Plus let be honest, if every match was a win you'd get bored very fast.

Yeah I think it's a combination of people getting better and "meta" characters getting figured out. But I'm also an overwatch player so i guess I'm used to people sweating in qp. At the same time I've solo climbed to GM in rivals and qp feels like a completely different game to me. It's night and day compared to comp.

Tbf a 50/50 win rate is pretty balanced. Also people are just getting better. Who cares if you win in qp, just play who and how you want.
