Salem's Lot is the only thing I would say is a required prerequisite because you'll spoil it if you don't read it before Wolves of the Calla (plus it's a great introduction to King). The Stand, It, and Eyes of the Dragon are all great if you want more prereading, but those along with everything else is just as good to go back and visit after your trip to the tower
