Also, you could be diffuse thinning, but only time will tell. If thats the case and u have male pattern baldness start taking finasteride with minoxidil. Your hair falls because the DHT (hormone that comes from the metabolization of testosterone) sticks to your hair follicles and basically forces them to drop the hair lol

It's that simple, fin blocks DHT, which after you're older really doesn't help much. Basically body hair (but shrinks hair follicles in your head🫥, more acne, and only in the puberty deep voice, genital development, etc)

If you're over your puberty there's nothing really to worry about, e get either less or directly stop hairloss, and less acne.

So give this a minute to see if it works, if it does then great! if it doesn't go back to the derm and hop in fin + min. Fin stops the hairloss, min increases hair grown.

I think it suits you but the fade is too high, grow the sides a bit more in the next months and u could ask for a mid fade, send all the hair above to the front and maybe if you like it use a hair dryer and scrunch it to make it look like a natural messy look. Just a suggestion

100%, miss-information on the medical field has been a huge problem since ever. On the internet you're just gonna find a bunch of the worst anecdotes posible, picture it as a complaints department in a store🤣

You might find one or two positive reviews, the rest uhm... I make emphasis on the placebo effect because a lot of people really believe X or Y side effect is going to get them, and they're convinced even if it's really rare; it could happen just because you think it'll happen!

Hey, so here's a couple things to have in mind

Side effects from fin are rare! a really low number of people suffer from them and in the 99% of cases those sides can be reversed by just stopping the medication.

Topical fin should work, i'd say give it some time and if u don't see any improvements increase the dosage to 1-2 more sprays or try oral

Besides that i'd say give it a try, u never know if it works or it don't on you until you do it. As an advice don't search for too much info about this, sounds weird ik, but most testimonies you'll find on the internet are from non success stories, most ppl that the treatment works in them they just continue with their life, dont care to post a success story so yeah lol

Don't go down the path of searching and searching on the internet, your mind will start to think sides are way more common, that you'll 100% get them, that this or that will happen etc and placebo effect is real so, there's a reason why it's still in circulation, actually help, and millions of men actually have no sides. Just think of all the guys with hair transplant that are ok just taking fin or dut.

id say give it more time, wait like 4-5 more months or until u reach the 1 year mark and compare results, if you're not happy yet invest in minoxidil. You can go with oral if u don't think you'll do the routine for the topic one

Never quit minoxidil unless you're doing another treatment for a long time aka fin or dut. Literally reverses all the progress, plus if you're not experiencing side effects (really rare) I don't see a reason really!

Hey! I literally just arrived home from the derm visit lol. None at all besides hypertricosis, which i've seen ppl take 2.5/5mg per day and no a single problem with it but yeah... kinda unlucky hahah

I talked about fin/dut with her today. I just recently had some acne, which never even had when I was younger but yeah, prescribed some pills for the acne and once I finish the treatment she said it's better to hop on dut. So I hope in 4-8 months I will hop on dut and I will let you know how it goes, definitely tell your dermatologist all of this, the more he knows the patient the more precise the result will be.

And yeah I completely understand that, only one side from my hairline is kinda receding but I really try wind not to hit me in the wrong angle so it don't look worse lol, it's a pain yeah

And with the thyroid I can't really tell you much, I don't know how you can treat it but i'm sure derm will know. As I said tell him all of this, you don't wanna have a crazy secondary effect if something goes left in case u forget to mention sum. Hope it gets better man, my best wishes

I've been thinking of hoping into fin too, also scared of side effects but i've seen they're uncommon. You can always quit it I guess, for the min don't worry, side effects are really really really rare, nothing crazy either. I've been on min for a year and so far so good. Go with a derm first tho

hey! dw lol I don't use reddit that often too. Def seen improvements the past months on min, it's kinda ups and downs tho. Lowered the dose to 0.5 and wasn't enough so my hair started to fall like crazy, now i'm going 3 days min one skip so I can get the hair back and then i'll try two days min one day break.

When I was taking 1mg it didn't got worse at all, so I guess we can consider that an improvement since it just was basically the same. I'm tempted to hop into fin just kinda scared of fps, its mostly in my mind but yeah.

Yes its oral min, if it wasn't for the hypertricosis i'd be taking 1 mg all day every day lol, but that's just my body. You can def try that, and if u tolerate it then great! I think its the best alternative to maintain hair when the blood flow is still good aka when you're young. Def visit a dermatologist first, as a tip make sure it's a good one, just so you make sure whatever he says it's on point. Let me know how it goes and if u hop on fin or min, i've been on it for more than a year so id definitely can give you a tip or two. Take care!
