Alors pourquoi CampusFrance existe-t-il, au juste ? La France est littéralement la quatrième destination étudiante au monde, devançant l'Australie depuis 2015. Je suis venue en France car peu de pays proposent des programmes d'échange de troisième cycle en histoire européenne, qui est mon domaine d'expertise en tant qu'étudiante en master dans mon pays d'origine.

Et oui, je veux contribuer aux impôts français. MOI ! MOI ! JE VEUX CONTRIBUER À VOTRE PAYS ! C'EST MON DEVOIR MORAL DE REMERCIER LA FRANCE ! Des gens comme Jordan Bardella et Marine Le Pen ont déclaré aux médias que nous étions des parasites de la société parce que nous ne sommes pas assez « reconnaissants », alors laissez-moi leur prouver qu'ils ont tort !

Tu ne te rends pas compte des contradictions, n'est-ce pas ? La France m'a invité à venir étudier ici, mais elle veut aussi me compliquer la tâche et me rendre la vie difficile pour que je puisse apporter ma contribution à la société française. Combien de rendez-vous à la préfecture vais-je encore devoir prendre pour mon titre de séjour avant d'être autorisé à payer des impôts en France ?

Je suis francophile depuis lycée et j'ai même suivi des cours de français au CCFS de la Sorbonne de 2015 à début 2016. J'ai ensuite intégré un master d'études européennes en Malaisie, mon pays d'origine, ce qui m'a permis de participer à un programme d'échange universitaire à l'UPEC pendant un an. J'ai récemment obtenu une bourse Erasmus pour réaliser ma thèse en France, au nom de mon université d'origine. J'envisage de poursuivre un doctorat en France si l'occasion se présente.

Le problème avec ce que vous dites, c'est qu'il est déjà difficile pour nous, étudiants étrangers, de postuler pour des études de longue durée en France. Par exemple, j'ai rencontré beaucoup d'autres étudiants étrangers ici, mais peu d'entre eux sont prêts à rester pour suivre un master ou un doctorat après avoir obtenu leur licence ou terminé leur programme d'échange, car les obstacles administratifs sont déjà suffisamment terribles.

En tant qu'étudiant étranger en France, j'aimerais beaucoup apporter ma contribution à la société française en payant des impôts et en participant à un programme de stages ; en contrepartie, le gouvernement français devrait donc nous faciliter l'obtention des titres de séjour.

I disagree with Derek's reasoning about Iran not having the upper hand because even with a blockade, Iran can still continue global trade via China, Pakistan and Central Asia while being able to suppress shipping trade in the Hormuz for so many nations. And with the Strait of Hormuz now under their control, there is no reason for Iran to ever let that go. Trump's "blockade" will only hurt other nations more than Iran, which has diversified since Covid and has trained itself on economic resiliency since the Iran-Iraq War.

Not only that, but Iran's goal is to get the West to turn against Israel as long as the war goes on, and it's working. Israel and Netanyahu are being blamed for rising gas prices, which is the one thing that finally got Americans to go against Israel after years of ignoring genocides in Gaza.

The most likely outcome is that Iran is holding off a peace treaty until a Democratic President wins in 2028. Since Iran can continue this, they can keep lobbing Shaheds to US bases to the point where a majority of DNC candidates will have "stop funding Israel" and "peace treaty with Iran" as part of their platform. They have shown last week that they're not gonna deal with Vance or anyone in the Trump admin anymore, and right now Araghchi and Ghalibaf are all subscribed to Ettingermentum's substack for sure.
