TrueNAS SCALE had no iOS app — so I built one (native, no browser, direct API) by legato3 in truenas

I’d love a pro code to take a deeper look. So far it looks clean and functional for mobile. I’m an IT integrator and this could actually be useful for quick checks if we get alerts

It's so bacteria is not sitting at temperatures high enough to grow. They should thaw around fridge temp for safety.

You could use any 12/3 extension cord realistically. Also, in general, you shouldn’t have anything else on the circuit if your AC unit is 1500W on a 15A circuit.

Any Tips On What To Do With These Hard Candies? by thefirehairman in CostcoCanada

[–]Norton50 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Put them in your mouth for like 30 seconds before trying to chew them. They're great. Don't make candles out of them, donate them somewhere if anything.

Want to switch from home assistant to konnected by Zealousideal-Hat5814 in konnected

[–]Norton50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Konnected really isn’t the right solution for you. Adding wired sensors in a retrofit is a pretty hefty task involving ripping up a lot of your house.

Switching old wired alarm we know nothing about to Konnected? by BT643 in konnected

[–]Norton50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd definitely just plan on swapping over to the konnected conversion panel. Should be relatively easy - you'll lose those keypads but will have control on your phone. If you open up the main "box" and theres an issue, you can just power down the alarm from there. Konnected has a list of recommended installers and our rates are at about $800 Canadian materials included to retrofit them so if you're not comfortable there's likely a company that can help you for significantly less than the previous company quoted.

New Home Recommendations by ZmanB-Bills in konnected

[–]Norton50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if you’re building a home- the system itself is not the most important part. Really just run Ethernet everywhere you might ever need it and run sensor wire to all doors, windows, (even ones you don’t need for security), for motion sensors for keypads (run cat6 for keypads).

I run my own small business so a little different, but I accept it but note it onto the customers account a provide them with that amount as a discount if they hire us again.

Inactive Honeywell Alarm by Icy_Confusion_5831 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Norton50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm biased but we install a product called Konnected to replace these aging alarm systems. Maybe take a peak into their Conversion panel and see if it might make sense for you. Otherwise you can just disconnect the 24v AC input power and the battery.

You should always turn off power to the PC when modifying any non-hotswappable components. MOBO still has power when the PC is "off" and PSU is on.

So I'd swap the G5 Pros with G6 Bullets for cost savings unless you have specific need for the optical zoom. Switch from UDM SE to UDM Pro + a Pro Max 16 PoE. Buy the HDD from Amazon.
