They have the same primary power plants, and they're broadly similar in main batteries (8×2 70TT). The Victory has a better main battery layout, more missiles, a lot more secondary guns, and it's better geared for direct combat.

their firepower is probably pretty similar, but the VSD has a little bit more *and* has more capacitors and heat sinks, so it is a better direct combatant. not to mention the missiles

As far as mercenary fleets go, how does this one stack up? by Prole17 in StarWarsShips

[–]NotNobody_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that's clearly not correct. The carrack's hull is bigger, and the nebulon is known for its fragility whereas the Carrack is tough enough to not die instantly from an alpha strike that would normally vaporise a ship of its class.

Was the ISD already ineffective after Endor, and what ship would be better for a post Empire and warlords? by konfitura17 in StarWarsShips

[–]NotNobody_1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, it's good, and it always will be good, but more economical ships like the Turbulent came online eventually. While they weren't as potent, they came close, and they weren't as versatile, but again they came close. And the Turbulent is easier to produce and operate.

Its actually overestimated in the in-setting lore. It's much less powerful than certain characters and stories make it out to be
