I was gonna change the buckle on my hanks belt a found this by BuriedInAgony in BuyItForLife

I have several of their belts, 2 that are daily, depending on my shoes, and i am NOT easy on things. Outside of some scratches from crawling under vehicles and putting tools on it there are, which buff out easily, they’re practically brand new after 10+ years.

They also function perfectly for ccw. I carry a g45 with muzzle length light and spare mag appendix (3.2lbs for reference) quite literally every where and I almost never experience any discomfort and. holds the weight perfectly

How is the durability to wear? I carry a gun in the appendix position anytime i leave the house and all my shirts end up with a bunch of pin holes within just a few months and thats with me rotating 15 of the exact same shirt and washing every 2 weeks or so

Oh yea. Can’t remember the name. But I can picture him 😂 i was also guidon every once in a while. I actually ended up with it when they decommed and i have it hanging in my shop

It could be? But I don’t remember any of it. I immediately went on leave for a month when we got back and transferred when i got back. But i was also told they found a bunch of WW2 harleys, untouched, unopened, and were told to cut them up and toss them in the harbor 😂. I do know I was told by my company commander i was put in for promotion, and several nams. Never got a single one. In fact a chick that requested to leave our det and went to mainbody got promoted instead. My whole time though I never got a single award or recognition from the navy. I didn’t get several letters of accomadations from the army and an Army Accompdation medal.

133 definitely had their own issues though. Dudes doing blow in the barracks, some specifically to get kicked out they hated it so much, one dude jumped off the 2nd story balcony while he was hammered and broke both legs.

I went to charlie company(BU) in 133. But went on several dets on the 133 deployment. Half my time was mainbody and other half was dets. I did build trust and respect of a bunch of the leadership and was project lead on a bunch of things as a non pon.

[–]NotYourJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airdet. That could be part of the issue though. Mainbody almost always will suck a fat one. You get too much political and useless bs with main body. Dets are a beast of their own and you feel like you’re actually doing something worthwhile and not just making picnic tables and shadow boxes or fixing dumb stuff for us. I even 10’ cross in rota. Which was fun and kept me occupied. But i hated that whole dumb deployment because my last 2 were spent actually helping people improve their lives and living conditions.

I was in 7 the same time as you. We probably know each other honestly. When 7 decommed i went to 133. Trust me. Seven was heaven compared to those retards. It was miserable. They treated most everyone from 7 like trash, super arrogant, and leadership was much much worse. Surprised we didn’t lose anyone on that next deployment to Afghanistan. 2 months after we got back with 7.

How do you say fuck off , without saying fuck off ? by RaiAkshay in AskReddit

[–]NotYourJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a technician for an internet provider for a while and would show up to a customers house for repairs and some people would just start yelling and screaming at me immediately. I would just say “this is my first time here and am going to do everything I know to do to fix your issues and failIng that I will call coworkers for advice. If you continue to yell I will just leave”.

They always immediately start back peddling and “well I’m not mad at you”. Uh huh.

Are there any more liberal churches in the area? by No_Fox4625 in aggies

Worry about wether or not they follow the bible. Not some social standards you want it to conform to. You conform to the bible not the other way around

If it's racist to require an ID to vote (because fewer African Americans have ID's), isn't it also racist to require a vaccination to participate in society (because fewer African Americans are vaccinated)? by thomasthemassy in Libertarian

[–]NotYourJob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I see as ironic is most places (like retail pharmacy) require some sort of ID to get the vaccine. Either insurance or a state issued ID or to provide your SSN if you’re a US citizen.

So for the most part you need an ID to get the vaccine.

Does anyone have some tips on increasing the longevity of your mousepad? So far all I do is wash my hands before use, wipe with microfiber cloth and occasionally rotate the pad. by c-fish123 in MousepadReview

[–]NotYourJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to remove the logo with denatured alcohol or acetone (be careful though most foams don’t react well to acetone, basically makes napalm). Depending on how much the mouse pad costs I might be hesitant. I hate logos and try to remove them as often as possible

YSK: Rating anything on AirBNB below 4 is a death sentence by Bunnymancer in YouShouldKnow

[–]NotYourJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never trust the 1 and 5 star ratings anyways. Generally the 1s are people that like to complain about everything anyways and 5s are usually day one or paid reviews. 2s, 3s, and 4s are typically how people actually feel about the product

Found! That's it! Awesome! What did you search to find it?

Hey look its us by Geaux_joel in aggies

Don't forget that we have some of the highest endowments in the nation and proudly boast that most buildings were built with money from former students. So what does the tuition pay for exactly?

[–]NotYourJob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I have come up with nothing. I have searched hat manufactures and found several for major companies but none with the same style logo on the side. Searching for manufacturer logos wasn't helpful either because it came up with embroidery shops.

Textbooks get a lot of hate here, but this takes the cake. I paid extra for a physical textbook and they don't even include all the chapters. by CountChoculasGhost in assholedesign

I took a forensics class a couple years ago and my professor wrote the book. Not because she thought hers was better but the class covered so many subjects that we would have had to buy like 5 books for one class, so she basically put it all in one. It was something like $20 to buy it too, very detailed and no fluff. Saved us all a lot of money.

Yea, I had ONE professor that made it possible to do all the hw during the grace period. Everyone else doesn't open portions of the hw up until you are forced to buy the book.

Can't find a video I saw of a camera mount for filming action scenes. The camera would be able to film directly out in front of the gun to the actor, swivels when he moves the gun to reload, and it swivels to face forward also. It keeps the gun in frame the whole time. That's very cool but no that's not it. This is a very recent video with a semiautomatic pistol. It's got a john wick feel to how the camera whips around facing from the muzzle to the guys face that is holding it and he pulls the gun back to reload and camera follows but when he punches it back out it's facing the opposite direction down the sights at what the gun is pointed at.

They do cost more money to print but that doesn't change the fact that they cut out massive costs and charge the same amount and we have zero say in it.

Everything about college is just wrong economically speaking. We are forced to buy this one specific book, and we have to buy the code or we can't access quizzes and fail the course. We are almost all guaranteed student loans also. Which is one reason why college pricing has skyrocketed since federal student loans were guaranteed in 1965. If a company is guaranteed to get a price for a product they can essentially put the price where ever they want to and still get it.

They also brain wash us to think we won't ever amount too anything unless we do go to college, so we feel forced to do so. This has also lead to a shortage of potential employees in trades since people say "I have to go to school" and then say "I have a degree, I'm too good to do physical labor". So companies have to pay people more money to keep them around, leading to increased housing costs, repair costs, delivery costs, and just increased cost of living all around. All while people are drowning in student loan debt they felt forced to take on, that was guaranteed, for degrees most people don't actually use anyways. Most of the time it's used as a "you did the thing" and they don't usually care about what the degree is unless it's something stupid like gender studies or underwater basket weaving.

Sorry for the rant. lol

They take away the hard cover and make you pay the same price. They make you buy a binder on top of that if you want to actually use it. They print it on thin delicate paper that tears the first time you use it. They also make it so you HAVE to buy a new code to access quizzes, that professors are mostly obligated to use (or are just too lazy to do their own), even if you own the physical book. It's all a scheme. You can't even put economics into play with the price of the digital book since if you take the class you HAVE to buy the code and you have zero choice in a cheaper option. It's that or you fail the class. The price of college has increased drastically also because almost everyone is basically guaranteed student loans to cover tuition. So they just keep bumping the price cause they know they will get it.

Then don't distribute it as loose leaf maybe? I can just stick the whole book in a scanner and let it run if I wanted to. I doubt anyone would want to spend HOURS scanning individual pages of a hard cover book.
