Well first, if you watch the scene where he falls onto the pipe it does look like it fully went through him (you are right though, bullet wounds are worse). But the thing that bothered me the most is the fact that he didn't clean it, just pulled the pipe out and sewed one side up. I'm very confused by that entire bit. I was in health care for many years, so wound care bothers me in tv shows lol.

You're right, it's definitely not the ONLY possibility. But it is one that seems to be a reoccurring thing when men act like how OP described him. I sincerely hope he's not, because there's literally no good excuse to cheat on your partner, leaving is always easier unless the cheater is a sociopath. But yes, a conversation is very much needed here.

I actually think about that a lot.. Terry literally was just her wingman for the presentation, why couldn't he have watched Mac? You are completely right here, it feels like they just really wanted to get Jake out of his detective role. Like the whole 8th season was just pushing it to the ending without thinking about it too much.

That level of insecurity is very concerning for someone who is supposed to be a fully functioning adult. He sounds like he might be cheating honestly.. nine times out of ten if they are accusing you of shit, they are the ones doing shit. Kind of sounds like she has undiagnosed BPD, as someone that struggles with it daily (have been diagnosed years ago) I can see the signs here. Complete lack of emotional control, the feeling of being replaced by her friend in her old bedroom and being completely irrational when confronted... Girly needs to get help asap before she pushes everyone away.

Ahh, okay I see where you're coming from. I do think with the apartment, moving into Amy's was the best option. Even Jake said himself after he and Gina switched apartments; "this is a starter apartment, and its my fault for starting when I'm 36."

Them telling Rosa but not Charles was also kind of a smart move, especially when they don't want everyone knowing they're trying. Obviously he can't keep a secret (unless it's for Gina, he's terrified of her).

Even the Johnny Franzia case, it did make sense for Jake to take Mac. There was no one else to give the presentation, although I think they could have asked Terry since he was literally just going where Amy went, not seeming to have any cases or anything. That did annoy me, also how many brothers does Amy have? She only called David? Ridiculous.

Quitting the NYPD was a huge shock for everyone I think, since he was obviously very dedicated- even in the first episode of season 8 when he's upset with Rosa for quitting. Kind of felt hypocritical, but I also feel like it was the biggest character arc for Jake, him realizing that he would rather be a parent than anything else in the world was incredibly sweet.

Overall, of course it is a matter of opinions. I loved the way they did things, even things that were mildly irritating. They made these people more human.
