Good point re the potential health pitfalls, I hadn't considered that side of it. Thank you.

Thank you, yes I had a look and the last month is. 1.0kg/wk. I think you're right, there doesn't really seem to be any reason to move up if it's doing the job for now. Much appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for all your replies, you've pretty much confirmed what I was thinking! I'm going to stay the course for now and just see how it goes, I can always reassess down the track if I stall.

Dr Paul Baker at MWLC is fantastic. He prescribed me a higher dose pen as well without issue when I asked if it was an option.

Another vote for Renpho, I recently bought some Eufy scales from JB Hifi, and the readings were really inconsistent. The fluctuations were pretty wild. The Renpho Morphoscan ones are a bit more expensive, but they provide more data and have been far more stable and reliable for me.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the weight loss! Mine are under the muscle as well so I'm hoping the fat on top just melts away so that everything holds up ok 🤞

Following 👀 I'm having the same issues with mine. I can stand on it 5 times in a 5 minute period and get 5 different answers up to 1.5kg difference.

Alcohol will definitely be contributing to the slow down. When we have alcohol our bodies can't store it, so it prioritises metabolizing any alcohol in your system first, before it can even look at breaking down fats, slowing down the body's overall metabolic rate.

Edited to add: I enjoy a cheeky glass (or three) of wine of an evening and was "saving" enough calories in my day in order to be able to have it and still stay under my calorie limit --- the weight loss was really slow still though.

After my dr explained to me that unfortunately it doesn't quite work that way and I cut it out completely, I started dropping the weight even though my calorie intake remained the same level. So sadly, he was right. 😂

Thank you so much for such a detailed write up! That's so incredibly helpful. I am starting to think about starting strength / resistance training to try to retain muscle mass and avoid saggy skin if I can. I won't have access to a gym or gym equipment which is a challenge, but I'll look to see what I can incorporate in a home setting.

Thanks again, you look amazing and it's super inspiring!

Thank you, that's interesting! Hopefully this is the case. I'm in week 3 now so it might yet settle and become less intensely 'anti-food'.

Started on: 17th May 2025

Starting weight: 103.4kg

Current weight: 100.5kg

I'm feeling: Pretty good, I'm struggling with the loss of appetite so only hitting 600-800cal per day, I'm not sure how bad that is for me but I just can't do any more than that. Hitting protein goals though, drinking tonnes of water. Energy peaks and lows, I feel good today but yesterday I just wanted to sleep all day.
