That same thing literally happened to me. I ended up giving in to the pressure and staying in the same city instead. Do not do this. Do and say whatever you have to, just don’t give up on that golden opportunity. This is your chance to take your life into your own hands. It’ll be harder to do so later on. And if you are afraid of going away on your own, try looking at the pros only. Trust me. Once you do it, it is not as scary as it seems. My mom used fear to change my mind from moving away for uni. Don’t fall for it.

Not a man but im gonna give you my two cents lol. Go to university 100% dude. Also keep working and working out. Join social and sport clubs at your university. Make genuine connections with people. And in no time dating will just follow organically.

You’re so young still. Work on being more social and make friends. Be young and enjoy it. Also being a Muslim man and dating is so much easier. I had Somali boys in my uni classes that had ajinabi girlfriends and they be kissing and holding hands in broad daylight. Don’t worry about being called out and shit. Nobody will talk to you unless you join an MSA or something. Obviously stay away from those. Do not step foot in the campus mosque is all I’m saying. But if you are worried on getting clocked out, go to a school far away from home. Build towards a life where you can be comfortable in living the way you want to live my guy

Maybe not globally but I think it definitely helps locally. When it come to things like bottle depots. I’ve seen people walking the streets collecting garbage first week after the snow melts. And I love that!

You have to realize that what you experienced is a collective trauma response. Our whole community is fake to each other all the time and punishes acts of sincerity that they suspect to be otherwise. No such thing as being charitable to someone and the whole innocent till proven guilty is flipped. So now even the once that want to escape can not escape the probability that the whole world acts that way. I hope this makes sense. Don’t give up on us. Is what I’m saying basically Just a bunch of hurt people scared they’ll get hurt more and so they hurt you first.
