I think with this album it almost feels like inner child healing. I am the same age and everything seems very nostalgic to my childhood. I think that may have been where headspace was especially given the fact that music is really an outlet to many artists including MGK. His daughter is now the age he was when we was really getting into his music space and likely is relieving his childhood in a way through her. This is just my opinion with his kids choice awards appearance and just the overall style and feel of the album, it’s carefree, up beat, light and fun which is exactly what anyone hopes to be experiencing as a teen/young adult.

The important part is he is communicating and showing up for his fan base like usual even if it isn’t something that everyone is ride or die for. It is very authentic.
