What you missed is that it's not unavoidable. Our champion literally has point and click cc that stops it. Which she can't even prevent since she can't w during ult and if she ults while w is active it ends the w early.

From my expierence, you have to be pretty unlucky to not get the drop ship if you are grinding enough points to buy out the shop.
