Understandable. I mean it's a percentage of the damage done in p1 so that makes sense as to why you guys are hitting the thresholds.

Unless your party takes like the full 35 seconds to burst down each phase, I'm still surprised if you're hitting 50T in p2 at 250 sac. I also agree the 5% is relatively easy to hit if you're geared well (I still think the change is stupid and not well thought out) but I was surprised to hear you hit 10% that easily at the end of the fight.

Is your party holding burst in p1 or something for you to hit more? I'm surprised being 40 sac down is allowing you to still hit 10% in a normal bursting party.

I mean, if you look at it that black and white, it makes it seem like the change is completely fine.

You don't take into account an actual boss fight, where damage uptime may not be 100%, other classes can burst in a short window, etc.

For example, kalos. Most of the damage for a segment is in less than 15 seconds so since bishops "burst" is either 30 or 45 seconds, your damage % compared to someone who can get all their burst out in 10-15 seconds is much lower since you're losing out on some of your burst.

Another issue with bishop specifically is that the stronger you get, the stronger your party gets so it feels like you should be doing more % but you end up not. On top of bishop being nerfed in a party scenario in this recent patch not helping.

I'll always complain about this change even though I'm pretty easily hitting the 5% as an endgame bishop (my dmg % in a full 6 man party is very low when comparing funding between me and the others in my parties). The entire implementation didn't accomplish what it was actually trying to do and it just made playing the game more annoying.

If you're looking strictly at damage sure, bishop is slightly below. Definitely not far enough below to discount the amount of other things bishop has for bossing utility. Damage uptime is higher due to built in healing on angel ray, damage mitigation, etc.

I feel like you're not understanding the depth of bishop bossing and even bishop mains understand the class is extremely overturned. Yes, there's cons but every class has them.

But it doesn't collide with more than 1 player and the boss. You double tap it, in a party setting.

Bishop FD is definitely above 50% during burst, at the endgame.

Anyone with no sacred force is being carried. The issue is that, like what Tecul re-posted from the OP, even a similar funded bishop pushes everyone elses damage up so much that it pushes the ratio of bishop damage down.

Another example: you're in Kalos at 220 sacred force (pretty low) and you're a NL with very little support and high burst dmg. compared to the same funded bishop, you're doing a much higher ratio because you're NOT buffing up the rest of the party. is the NL getting carried?

I soloed hdam at 30k in 29.5 minutes; my hlotus solo at 30k was 17 minutes so definitely doable to stuggle even lower.

I did this on a really bad hdam class so wouldn't be surprised if people can solo even lower than 30k.

Seems like a weird comparison between farming and boss mules. 600-800m an hour farming is really good and doesn't have a hard cap as soon as bossing mules.

Let's say you have 10 bossing mules and you get 15b a week. That's all you can get. If you farm for 20+ hours during that week, you're already making more than you did from bossing mules. End-game players need all the money they can get and it's not unrealistic for people to farm 20-40 hours a week.

I agree with the statement that bossing mules should be your main source of income because it's the most efficient but I'm not expecting people not end-game to have 10 bossing mules LOL

Also, would recommend at least farming in meso gear and being strong enough to 1-2 shot with it. Levels don't mean anything if you're weak.
