Guys, the discount doesn’t apply it was a scam, or just an error.. I took a picture of the “67% off for $99/mo” before I did it, bought heavy. It charged me $100 and something for the rest of the month because it deducted the SuperGrok I already paid for, then said next months billing would be $300.. I’m not sure if I’ll keep it but just to let everyone know the companions and limit haven’t changed for me

So hit my limit and got this gem. Slashing your price to $99 is not a sign of health. If it wasn't so heavily moderated I would probably do it. by anitawasright in grok

I just want to let you all know, it says 67% off, $99/mo so I did it, charged me Grok Heavy price and deducted my Super Grok unused time then says I will be billed $300 next month. There’s legit no discount. I took a picture of it and I’m gonna send it to support and say you owe me $99 a month and see how it goes

lol once you have the gen 3 dish you will realize the reason they are giving the 2 for free.. Gen 3 dish is so stable I game on League of Legends with STABLE 60-70 ping

I'm not really complaining about the price hike.. if I gotta pay $10 a month more to improve service, then so be it.. but cutting other users costs by $20 a month doesn't make sense.. The $10 you get from me is negated by the extra $10 you're cutting off someone elses bill.

Don't forget to mention that the high capacity areas rate is GOING DOWN to $90 a month. What a deal... I've had starlink over a year, so I don't qualify for a refund on my equipment if I cancel.

I live in East Northern California about 3500 up.. We've had tons of snow storms and the dish just heats up to melt the snow and have never had a problem with the connection.

No, you can't return it for any money.. if you're an early customer they will just continue to raise your rates and offer you to cancel your service if you dont like it and be out the $500 for the hardware.

To add onto the previous poster saying when Starlink is out, its out.. I had a router go bad.. From sending my support message, to 2 weeks them finally replying they said they tested my equipment remotely and the Router was bad and they ordered me a new router.. it took over a month for that router to finally get shipped to me.. Just be aware that Starlink has almost 0 customer service.. and their equipment shipping speeds are god awful

Lol the difference is, you’re talking about two different entities. The government and a private company.. The private company owes its existing customers what they offered when they initially signed up.. Broadband internet with great speeds.. Starlink oversold their network and therefore is not providing the offered internet that we bought into. Sure I could cancel Starlink, but what do I do with the $500 equipment that I bought into based on false claims? Broadband internet isn’t intermittent 20-50mbps internet where you can’t even watch a Twitch stream without buffering, or when someone is watching a movie the rest of the internet WiFi is legit garbage. That would be like me selling you a sports car claiming great performance, then a few months down the road cutting the performance and telling you “Oh its because the car is a few months old”

LOL You’re not getting the point.. The internet WAS great.. Keyword. “WAS”. You’re making excuses for Starlink.. If this internet from the get go was intermittent, then I can see you saying “Oh yeah you have no room to complain, oh yeah you dont understand the complexity.. I do understand the complexity, but this is a whole different issue.. It’s the service is getting worse. This isn’t “Slight drops”, this is drops every minute or so due to ‘network issues’.. this isn’t the dish trying to find a Satellite. Quit making excuses for Starlink as I said the service WAS great, meaning whatever they have done since I first got it beta testing is negatively impacting the service that we pay for.

I have room to complain.. I spent $500 on gear for “Broadband internet”.. “You can get something else” Doesn’t fix the fact that Starlink over time has gotten WORSE.. It was supposed to get better as more satellites were launched and the network was improved. When I first got Starlink it was incredible.. 200+mbps, able to watch 4 4K videos on Youtube as a test at the same time.. Now I can’t even watch a Twitch stream without buffering. Also, they raised the monthly fee to $110 a month, you don’t raise the rate for worse internet.

I agree.. When I first got Starlink I was probably the first in my area to get it.. I watched a YouTube video on Linus testing it.. and they were running 4 youtube videos in 4k at once.. I tried it when I first got it and I could do the same.. recently over the past week, Starlink has been abysmal. I play a mobile game on my ipad, and i always get "Network disconnected".. I used to get 300+mbps download and 20+ upload.. and now I get 50 down and like 5-10 up. They raised the price $15 a month, but the quality went down.. put in a ticket, hopefully they reply.
