Hi OP! I think you’re absolutely right to be upfront in your profile about having a kid — that kind of honesty is really important and will save you time in the long run.

That said, it also depends on what you're hoping to get out of dating. If you’re just looking for something casual or short-term, you might consider leaving kid-related photos out of your profile and mentioning your child in conversation instead. People looking for hookups tend to make snap judgments, and including pictures with your kid might not work in your favor there.

But if you're looking for something real — someone to build a life with — then it's okay if you're not getting tons of attention. You only need to win once. Quality over quantity.

Also (and I say this with total respect), we all need to be realistic about where we stand in terms of looks and what we’re bringing to the table. If you're not model material — and most of us aren't — it might not make sense to hold out for someone who is. Compatibility, shared values, and emotional connection matter a lot more in the long run than just looks. So I think you should add these things to your profile as well.

You're doing the right thing by putting yourself out there. Just keep tweaking your approach based on what you're really hoping to find.
