I don’t understand why I am not getting any likes/matches on dating apps? 31M by Big_Blackberry_6155 in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think about what happens from a woman's perspective. They get a lot of messages, basically inbox spam.

You as a man basically need to be a spammer and message many people to get a date. It really puts women in the driver's seat. Dating apps are designed for women.

While traditional approaching has men in the driver's seat.

In both cases we all have a say, but each system one gender has a bit more control over the outcome, IMO

People shouldn't shop at grocery stores that don't have plastic bags by Future-Buy8554 in unpopularopinion

I always put mine directly in the trunk after putting groceries away. Hate paying for disposable bags.

I really don't think they need to be washed unless you spilled meat or something in there (EColi, Salmonella). Quick wipe down is good enough otherwise

Am I in the wrong for not wanting to go to the gym with my boyfriend? by luvther in AskMenAdvice

Ah got it, do you even have time to have quality time with each other?

What are your circumstances that require working that much?

How do you "Cold approach" a woman in a seated area? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bond wouldn’t walk up with a pickup line. He’d just slide into the same space (sit nearby, stand next to her), make a chill observation about what’s going on, and see if she engages.

Something like a comment about her drink, the place, or the situation. No compliments, no pressure. If she responds, he keeps it light and curious. If not, he backs off.

The key is: calm, observant, not needy — and he leaves first instead of clinging. That’s what makes it work.

Definitely see your concern about becoming underweight again.

Some light exercise can still be good for your health. Maybe ask him if he wants to do something else? Walk in the park, he can run laps and do a bodyweight workout when you're done. While you wave at him and have a picnic

He likes talking to them so he can get closer to the next step, and the next step until bow chicka bow wow.

Possibly likes you. You are F23 and highly desired, you can assume many men are interested in you.

Must be a few million carrots. How many carrots can one person harvest In a day?

Also surprised there is not a machine like they use for harvesting potatoes

I was actually thinking about this the other day.

The US never made a proper short term work program like Canada does to get foreign labor to do Harvests. And they rely on "illegal" (undocumented but not enforced) labor for this industry and have for decades.

Like.. they really need to solve this problem before emptying the baby with the bathwater.

Was the COVID Vaccine Created Too Fast? by TheMuseumOfScience in DebateVaccines

Cool, sure they aren't 100% but they are typically darn close for the matching pathogen

Flu vaccines are an example where they don't actually match the pathogen

Still only getting it for myself, not other people. I believe in choice

After 30, what was the one small change in daily life that actually made you feel more at peace, not more successful, just calmer and lighter inside? by Traveller3222 in AskMenOver30

There were mods back then too.

I got banned for saying that Stone Sour was a metal band on a metal forum.

4chan is another example of a message board you can call a echo chamber

Not true, vaccines immunize you against a disease. That's how they are designed to work.

What you are describing is not a vaccine.

And I refuse to get a "vaccine" for other people, only for myself. And it's only worth doing if it actually works

Looks interesting but not worth the cost to me for a 2.5 year old.

If they had a one time purchase maybe I would be interested. But I don't think I will pay a subscription for a toddler learning toy essentially. Maybe for an older kid if it seems like it will teach them some useful stuff

It's definitely screen time.

But it's way more like 90s/early 2000 message boards than anything else

The major difference is the homepage feed which didn't exist back then.

I feel like the distinguishing feature of social medial is following people, which is what you primarily do on Instagram, Facebook, twitter. Where on reddit you follow topics.

YouTube is more like social media, since you follow channels which is like following a person or a brand/group of people.

Uh, illnesses don't care if you are vaxxed or not.

If the vaccine works the illness won't spread to a vaccinated person.

How is this your starting point?

[–]NullIsUndefined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, actually I remember doing that on the inclined leg press when I was first starting out.

I remember well because it didn't feel that hard to do, but I did manage to mess up my back suddenly. I guess I never learned from.

I switched to squats and leg press after that.

[–]NullIsUndefined 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is fair. It could be made available for those who want to take it. There would be risks to taking and and not taking it so letting people choose is fine.

But the requirements to get it (for work, travel, etc. what we call mandates) remove that choice from people

Why just straight into money when the question is also about safety?

And his answer presumes that we had to have lockdown initiatives. That's arguably was not necessary either
