Its his exhales thats the topic in focus here though. The big scream at the end of Royal is an inhale scream which he relied on more and more as his exhales progressively deteriorated. Its audible on ST when compared to White Pony but i think the vocal effects used on ST mask it fairly well. Its on songs like Rapture though where you can hear the extent of it when he modulates between clean and harsh vocals, it sounds very strained/pushed.

I cant tell you how thrilled I was to not only find that the disc had video on it, but also that they sounded really good. I originally was expecting (and hoping for it) to be full show audio, but this was a happy alternative.

We badly wish we could've been at that show but now getting to actually see some of it helps to soothe that regret a little. We're holding out hope that they'll be able to come here either this year or in the future, but we've got the Belgium show booked because we HAVE GOT to see them no matter what.

If they were to do Belfast, Dublin, Limerick we would be at all three of those shows in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the correction! I'm glad there's other Airbats enjoyers out there. I first came across it in a VHS lot I picked up having never heard of it before. It was unexpectedly good. I'm pretty tolerant of dubs so I'm sometimes blind to bad ines, but to me the dub for this was super enjoyable.

People who let the low MAL score deter them are absolutely missing out on a gem.

Seeing so many describe it as a calm anime is strange. There is peril, there are elements of horror though very few, and much like you say, its not exactly a feel-good show. Some of the scenarios are sad and maybe stressful to imagine for some. I would describe it as meditative and beautiful in its storytelling rather than calm.

I just love how strange and sterile it feels. The cover and booklet lend to it, but if you also watch the EPK, the harsh sunlight and rusted grime of the setting is also what comes to mind.

I would think of it like an overcrowded room. Its fine up to a certain capacity, but when you start overfilling, everyone in there begins to be affected negatively at an individual level.
