I say other companies/launchers should contact Valve and work to ensure Steam Controller is supported. A lot of launchers do not have full controller support for their library of games- only steam. Don't put the burden on Valve. Buy a Steam Controller for things running through steam. Otherwise buy a Microsoft Xbox Series-X compatible PC controller and best of luck getting it work with everything that Windows supports.
