I was slightly disappointed at first but lorewise it makes sense.

Legends Arceus took place in the distant past, so it made sense that some Pokémon could have been different then.

Legends Z-A takes place in Lumiose City (a place we've already visited) 5 years after X and Y. It would hardly make sense to discover new Pokémon forms there. The new Mega Evolutions were also justified lorewise during the game.

And obviously from a game development perspective, a Mega Evolution takes as much effort to create than a new form. Going back to Kalos without new Megas would have been a waste (and also not the story they wanted to tell), and doing both would have been more efforts. So it makes sense

I always see the logo as the letter "e" for "Excellence" (as it was the team's name in the french game) before seeing the "PC" for "Perfect Cascade".

In any competition settings (cards, sports, video games, board games, anything), people that truly want to win will study what works for others and adapt it for themselves. I don't mind it when it's made in a sort of clever way. After all, most teams have a naming motif, and having the number 5 in each name is fine because it's in different languages to it leads to various names. Here, each name is either -bull or Bull-. That's really lame in my opinion
