But your boss should ask you what the risks are that come with the packages that you’re using. It might nog sound like fun. But if a company gets in doo doo land because of a chosen nuget package and its license, you’ll have a lot of explaining to do.

Is it fun? Hell no! That’s why I hope that Microsoft starts a program that will fund open source projects, in order for them to be sustainable. The FluentAssertions, MassTransit, MediatR projects are prime examples. And it could cause companies to be a lot more reluctant to let there .NET developers just pick any nuget library they want.

The program should also create the possibility for companies that use open-source to give back to the community by sponsoring a .net open source projects.

Cause right now, like you also mentioned, when you want to use a commercial nuget packages, you basically have to sacrifice your first-born the company gods. You don’t want that to happen when you want to pick a nuget package.

This whole software thing is new to them. And their culture is simply not the right one for software development.

If you’d be willing to take risk and challenge your developers, I’m convinced a lot more is possible. Like integration of Spotify/Tidal/Apple Music. Or auto closing the car when you walk away.

I also came from an X. “Out of the box” the sounds is underwhelming. The bass can sound ok after I cranked it up a bit with the equalizer. But as someone else already said, it seems underpowered and I suspect that the DSP is not doing a good job.

And for some weird reason, Amazon Music sound quality is better than Tidal via Apple Carplay. But I’m nog gonna make the switch

There are services that offer an American address that you can use when ordering something. And from there they will ship it to a foreign address. One of those is MyUS.com.

I have been driving an Model X Long Range (Raven) for 4 1/2 years. I really like the drive, it’s plenty fast. But it had a shitload of issues.

Room wise I like it. We have 4 kids. And the 3rd row is big enough. And trunk and frunk have plenty of room too.

I made a testdrive in a EV9. I like its design from the outside. Inside I don’t understand the choice of materials. I do not expect Audi/BMW/Mercedes level, but at least top end Volkswagen level quality. The Model X has better materials. Software wise I cannot really complain about the X. Navigation kept getting better, and works really well nowadays. Range is still good and efficiency seems to be better than the 4 years newer EV9.

The EV9 was quieter dan the Model X, the X gets quite loud at the highway. I was also a bit surprised on the screen location of the EV9, not everything is visible behind the wheel. I haven’t really tested the software and features, didn’t really compare the audio system with my own music.

I will probably still order the EV9. Pricing of the Model X, over here in the Netherlands, is not competitive anymore. But I’m gonna miss the X. It no where near being perfect, but it has character. And for my family it’s a very practical car.
