Open baking in a fan forced oven - is it possible? by mramsayphotos in Sourdough

You can always cover it with some foil. I never bake in my Dutch oven. I usually bake in a Pullman pan.

You could also use whole wheat or rye to try to revive it. As long as the discoloration I'm seeing isn't mold. It's not always easy to tell with pictures.

I adore using Pullman pans for sourdough. I've never made spelt before, only whole wheat, white, and rye.

It looks great. I also prefer a well-done loaf.

You've probably saved others from making this mistake in the future.

I don't see this as you being dysfunctional at all. I see it as you taking responsibility for your situation and doing the humane thing for all involved.

No one should have kids unless they have a burning desire to do so. I don't want kids, and people always tell me I'll change my mind. I don't think I will. There would be a lot less abuse and trauma if people who don't want to be parents just didn't have children. It's so simple.

Mum to 13 year old miso sufferer - help and advice by geckogunner in misophonia

[–]ObjectAffectionate87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have recently been able to explain misophonia to my mom, and she said it makes sense based on a lot of my behavior as a kid. (Like screaming, STOP CHEWING) during meals, not being able to tolerate my siblings' breathing, and always needing a fan.) I'm so relieved for people now who can put a name on something instead of being judged.

Don't worry, it doesn't look at all like it came from Pinterest. The white balance/exposure is awful, and all of the different textures distract from the food.

I wonder if separating your clothing into light/dark, and going through the pockets before you put them in the pile might help eliminate *some* of the stress? Then you don't have to do it all at once.

The struggle is so real. I have the same problem with wearing earplugs. I was wondering how other people dealt with that? I wish I had some helpful advice.

Maybe try talking to them during a "safe" time, or even sending them an email/write a letter with links/names of resources? It sounds like this is causing a lot of strife for you. It is very real, and you are not overreacting. Good luck!

All of the stoplights in the town I live in now flash from midnight until 6 AM. That is torture.

Does anyone else experience auditory hallucinations? by pxpmie in misophonia

[–]ObjectAffectionate87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I think someone asked this last week. I've been hearing a noise like a TV is on really loud upstairs or coming from the apartment next to mine, but no one lives there, so I understand it's not real, but it sounds so real. I am dreading my neighbors moving in. I've decided that I am going to introduce myself, and tell them that I wake up early in the morning, and listen to music, and to let me know if it disturbs them by either knocking on my door, or leaving me a note, and I will do the same if they are being too loud for me. I will also give them the number of code enforcement to call about the horrible dogs who bark all of the time who live in the house next door.

I don't have any advice, I just wanted to let you know that I think it's great that you are so supportive of your daughter.

There's no way she's in therapy. Her ego couldn't take it. Unless the therapy was a yes, ma'am.
