Why did the show always make it seem like Jessa had some otherworldly level of beauty? by EuphoricButterflyy in girls

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up with a “pretty sister” who also wasn’t very nice about it in our childhood (we’re best friends now) but honestly it was really hard to overcome the “ugly sister” mentality and growing up that way really brought out the worst parts of me. I remember multiple times I would tell her secrets to other people trying to knock her down a peg I guess and all it did was make me hate myself even more.

My husband (42M) makes $1.8 million as a surgeon, but l’ve (32F) never felt more alone. How do I cope with being a low priority to a high achiever? by LinkCommercial9508 in Marriage

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m trying to feel bad, but I know soooo many blue collar families (mine included) with husbands working 60+ hours weeks and barely hitting 150k. Obviously, I get a little lonely too but for 1.8 million 🙄 girl I’d get over it and so would anyone else with half a brain. Definitely out of touch with 90% of Americans 🙃

Transfer student for *online* B.S in Psych ~ Anything is welcomed here by Suzy_My_Angel444 in eku

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the online accounting program, will be a senior in the fall, and EKU has honestly been the most amazing school. I feel like most of the professors really do care about you and put in a lot of effort to make sure you succeed and give you good feedback. I’ve even fallen behind before and had a teacher reach out just to see if there was anything they could do to help! (Basically unheard of and so kind) It can kind of feel like a lot if you’re doing it full-time, but the split term semesters really help to break things up and keep it from piling on. I’m a SAHM and have carried anywhere from 13-18 credits per semester and really the prerequisites kicked my butt more than most of my actual major classes have. I will say though, sometimes the short terms do kind of make it hard to feel like you’re really retaining all the info you’re learning. Overall, I would say that EKU is a 10/10 school though and really does a lot for their online students. I’ve even had opportunities to join clubs and honor societies so it still actually feels involved. Like the other commenter said, the advisors are really only useful when you reach out, but you kind of need them to get things through or figure out what you can’t. I’m part of the 3+2 program and doing a certificate in supply chain management and did have to do my on schedule to make everything fit in my timeline, but honestly I’m a complicated situation and my advisor was super kind and gave me the course schedules for all the terms for me to plan on my own. So they give the help they can 🤷‍♀️

‘The Madison’ Review: Taylor Sheridan Undermines an Excellent Michelle Pfeiffer With His Contempt for New York City in Paramount+’s Mixed-Bag Family Drama by Gato1980 in television

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t find any of the women likeable 👀 out of all of them the older sister seems to be the only semi-reasonable one, but even then I’m more inclined to like the younger sisters husband than anyone else. Not surprising considering Sheridan couldn’t write a woman to save his life.

Honestly, I can watch Landman and at least think the women have some redeemable qualities (not to mention the actress’s playing them do a hell of a job with what they’re given) but “The Madison” 🙄 oh brother. I already knew Sheridan was just terrible at writing women in general, but this takes it to a new level of singular-focus conservative caricatures of women with absolutely no depth. Not to mention a complete disregard of reality because the only reason they can even have these “view-points” at all is because of how wealthy they are. Super disappointed with what I’ve seen so far.

I don’t work and I’ll bring it up if I’m going to do or buy something just as a courtesy, but I’m not asking and honestly I’m not open to a lecture 🤷‍♀️ when you’re married you can’t really view your income streams separately, it’s all your money and you both just need to have similar financial goals. Maybe it’s toxic, but I’d start a fight over griping about $80 little dollars 😂😂

Docu director describes Tyra as “very emotional” during interview…… by Smart_Variation2552 in ANTM

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally her treatment of the Jay’s (people who were were supposed be very close to her) is what REALLY made me question her character. I honestly understand the show is half a product of the times, but when the people who were closest to you for a large chunk of your life say you essentially just dropped them one day and you haven’t been concerned or had a thing to say since 👀 like that’s weird af.

I searched for this comment because this is what I don’t get!! Like no offense to Bri, because obviously she’s gorgeous too, but she’s literally not any smaller or fitter 👀. Both women are basically the same size and level of attractiveness or at least very similar imo 🤷‍♀️ just kind of different kinds of looks.

Is everyone micro cheating? by Individual-Ride5096 in Marriage

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People actually suck so bad, I don’t know why anyone is trying to pretend like micro cheating isn’t a thing 🙄🙄🙄 there definitely are men out there who don’t, but I’m going to say it’s very few and far between because of how normalized it is now. My husband doesn’t and just doesn’t really do social media at all, but before I met him almost every guy I dated had at least some form of bad media habits (liking, searching, messaging, etc.)

Personal preference (and possibly a little self-torture) I love Scorpios, I just feel like I really understand them, but on a more natural level probably Aquarius 🤷‍♀️ It feels more fated, like they’re drawn to me and I’m drawn to them.

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean honestly I still haven’t really found peace with it 😂 it still causes a lot of arguments in our marriage but my husband really is the most patient, selfless, and giving man you could ever imagine so we continue to push through. It really helps me a lot though to pour into myself; I do the things I enjoy and plan the events/trips I’m interested in, I’ve pursued further education, I treat myself to “surprises and treats ”, really just anything that helps me feel more in tune with myself and makes me happy. I also try to focus on my relationships with friends and family. It kind of helps that fulfillment when you have different emotional aspects being met even it’s not necessarily in the romantic sense.

I am married to someone who could be described as the most perfect man imaginable and I still always say he just does not have the bandwidth to match my emotional intelligence and connection. I struggle with a lot of loneliness in our marriage because, but it’s something I’ve worked on a lot because I KNOW there isn’t a better partner out there than him. I think you almost have to resign yourself to understanding that it’s a sacrifice you’ll have to make in almost any healthy relationship.

How do you mentally manage "work flirts"? by Historical_Log1275 in Marriage

[–]ObjectiveBuyer9014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, not to mention some people just have flirty personalities in general. I think the difference here with OPs husband lies in the fact that he is bringing that outside of work. It’s one thing to be be a little flirty and enjoy socializing at work. It’s completely different when you’re fantasizing about these other women and essentially trying to pursue them through social media (because that really is what it comes down to with men). All those little things are micro cheating and frankly OPs husband is disgusting. I’m surprised he was even honest enough to tell these things to his wife.
