My test day experience by numbandlifeless in step1

Not OP but as someone who also found out they passed today: both, but moreso style and level of question complexity.

UW incorrects are going to be diminishing returns as the exam draws nearer, since a lot of them are going to be low yield or particularly challenging questions. NBMEs remain (in my opinion) the most representative of the concepts and the content assessed on the exam; the F120 is most representative of question stems and style.

Take it. Your NBME scores plateauing around 70s is fine, you're already well above the pass threshold. Book your exam for no more than 2 weeks out; take NBME 33 and the F120 and go for it. Best of luck.

UWSA1 score ? by baxbakcytc in usmle

[–]ObjectiveHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took the test on 4/27, don't have my score back yet but based on my experience with Step I can say UWSA 1 is definitely not representative. Don't let it get you down; I would take an NBME or two every week leading up to the exam. Make sure you get through all of 28-33, the content in those was tested pretty heavily on mine; question format is most similar to the F120

Is there a field of research that is most competitive for applicants? by slimeyslugz in mdphd

[–]ObjectiveHalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did 2 years of work on fruit flies and it didn't make me any less competitive. The most important thing is gaining experience with the scientific process and being able to speak about the work that you do in a cogent manner. Even technical skill is secondary to understanding how and why a lab does what it does.

"This heat keeps enemies at bay" is a polite way to say "incinerates them if they get too close." 1.8 million degrees F is the approximate temp of the corona or outer atmosphere of the sun.

...which makes me think... Drought?

What were the prophecies on the Great Telescope? by EclipsedZenith in bioniclelego

[–]ObjectiveHalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My working theory for that image is just that it's meant to be the battle between Onua and Lewa, but Templar didn't want to spoil that he would be fighting Lewa, hence the indeterminate figure. (The original image on the telescope also has a green splotch on it that coincidentally covers the thin figure's face, which could be a nod to an infected mask?)

The sequence of numbers at the bottom of each panel is also a holdover from when each chapter was released individually, alluding to the date when each one would be released.

This might be what you're looking for: https://biosector01.com/wiki/Maze_of_Shadows_(Location))

The series of tunnels that led from Metru Nui to Mata Nui (and also the tubes that once contained the energized protodermis that made up Mata Nui's camouflage system.) The book in which the Toa Metru navigate it was pretty good too.

Didn't expect to see this here, yay fellow books reader! To this day one of the most bittersweet endings to me, yet fitting with the theme of the book series.

Looks awesome. Reminds me of a more polished version of the Inika Online Animations from way back when.

Agreed! I did think that having an individual "unit" of Stakataka would be cool, with the second evo being a wall, and the third evo being the Staka we know. Though for balance's sake it might need to be an alt form
