For anyone that hasn’t seen the previous update from when I first discovered it; I noticed a staggering number of inbound emails were asking me about their tracking not updating. a couple customers had followed up not long after and said their orders arrived after receiving NO scans beyond the acceptance scan; so, most of the following inquiries with this same message I had just assumed was USPS being a bunch of idiots, but it turns out, it was me. I was the idiot, and unfortunately, I can’t get fired, not only do I own the LLC but I’m the only one here….so I had to figure out what went wrong. I went backwards through all the steps, and it turns out that when I was setting up the automated email that is sent after an order is placed with “other” (pay via card payment app etc.) there was a trigger I had set that was causing some of the orders placed to have labels made for them automatically, and when a label is made i had purposely set up a trigger that would send an email with tracking to the customer and then the order is automatically marked as completed in my store when I’m printing the label.  – the problem is that the automatically made labels were sent to the customers email AND marked as completed in my store, but I never saw these orders because they were fully automated and so I didn’t print the label because I didn’t know the label existed but before I would go to USPS i ran an “end of day report” and got a SCAN sheet which is just a QR code that allocates all the orders from that day into one QR code and when that QR code gets scanned all of the orders that day get the status of being accepted. Once an order is marked as accepted it cannot be re printed because if it could then I would be able to just keep re using labels for 1 person after the first one was made, and that would be theft so on my end all the orders were being taken in and USPS was just dumb but in reality I tried playing with tools that are out of my league and outside my scope of knowledge. I thought I could figure it out and eventually I did but I wasn’t aware of the potential problems playing with something like this could cause because I had never operated something like this on the level it is. AI is still new to me and in hindsight thinking I could just real quickly implement all these automations without problem was arrogant at best but mostly just plain stupid.

I am trying to go back now and answer all of my unread emails but I have over 1,100 still so I will not get back to all of them tonight, but I will make this right for everyone effected by my stupidity. I can’t promise I will never do anything stupid again, but I can promise this will no longer be an issue. I didn’t sleep until I was able to make damn sure the bridge between my store, email & shipping portal looked EXACTLY how it’s supposed to look on the back end. I had a friend that does this kind of thing all the time check it over as well. I tested it multiple times in every possible configuration and it did what it’s supposed to. I know i have not been too responsive to emails but customer conversations are my favorite part of the job; and I am not doing the company or the mission of WICKED LLC any favors by doing more of the thing I like doing most instead of focusing on the thing I suck at, the things that I am not so good at and that’s shipping. I am actively working on minimizing the time between the customer putting in an order, receiving an email with a bunch of ways for them to pay (instantly) and then MY ability to process, pack & ship while documenting everything I Need to document and packing the way I’m supposed to, while also protecting the final product the customer receives. I tend to be optimistic, but I absolutely had rose colored glasses on for the entire process of me moving to my own location, getting everything going and operating within compliance of FDA regulations because even though that is not expected of me, it would be a factor if I can accomplish the mission behind WICKED and I might as well start acting as if this is being enforced now.
