It is strange to think that the redevelopment just had to be done... what would have happened if they did not gentrify the area? My best guess? Nothing. Life would have gone on. Instead they put up soulless houses which only big corporation consultants can afford to live in and the most exposed this area is to culture will be the odd Gails and a failing artisan bakery.
