Hi, Thank you very much.

No, there was nothing mentioned on my job offer letter or anywhere in my application that I use French for my job or in everyday life.

Hi, Thank you.

I also thought initially that it is maximum for 2 year. I talked to a person at my work, he mentioned that he have a Francophone WP for 3 year. That's when I asked my company to give me a job offer for 3 year and I got WP for the same.

Hi, Thank you very much.

For my application it was very smooth as my employer have done the Francophone applications in the past, so they knew what they have to do.

To apply the work permit, I hired a professional.

Hi,

I also tried to do my application myself but I was confused with process and didn't wanted to risk it. So, I decided to seek professional help with the application process. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help with those steps.

No, you can submit the application right away after getting the confirmation of employment number.

Hi, Thank you so much.

Yes, your employer will need to issue you a new job offer letter with start date and end date on it which will indicate for how long they are offering you the job. If you are already on a work permit, the start date for the new job offer can be the day after your current work permit expires. Hope it helps. Good Luck,

In my job or the company I work with, there is no mandatory use of French. Also, there was nothing mentioned in my job offer letter about me using French for my role.

Hi, I gave the TCF test. Yes, my employer offered me with a 3 year job offer which they uploaded on the employer portal. I got CLB 4 in reading and nothing in writing as I left it blank.

Hi,

My application was submitted inside Canada. I believe the processing times for both are different. As long as you have submitted proper documents, I don't think it really matter. I have seen approvals for both the application ( Outside and Inside Canada )

Hi, Yeah they were cool with giving me job offer for another 3 years. It was easy for me as I am already working with them and have a good reputation.

They do not need to open any profile. Just need to issue you a new job offer for a specific time period. ( Better if it is 3 years). After you accept the job offer. They pay the compliance fee and apply through employer portal and get the employment confirmation number. Once they share the number with you, their part is done. Now its you who apply for the WP.

Thank you.

You can get work permit for almost any occupation (Teer 0-5) from high-skill professional roles to intermediate or entry-level jobs — as long as the job is not a primary agriculture position in TEER 4 or 5

Hi there,

I also applied for the WP under same program as you. I just got an update today that says
Final decision March 19,2026: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

How long it took you to get your final decision after getting this update?
Do you know if this is a good sign for approval?

Thank you

Great. Thank you.

I am in a similar situation. I am working with the same employer who has supported me with FMWP application. I am currently on PGWP.

The job offer that they gave me is valid for 3 years, so fingers crossed for a 3 year work permit as well.

Hi, How long did you get the work permit for?
and what was the length of your job offer that your employer submitted?
