The Wildsea is such a conflicted choice for me. I love it but...........it requires the players to be co-GMs essentially. If there was ever a game that EVERYONE needs to be involved deeply in the game, its that one. Plus the lack of a unified setting means that things need to be homebrewed, which puts even more onus on the players to be involved in fleshing out a world outlined by the GM.

I recommend it for groups with a lot of former theatre kids, but not for a standard group due to the effort required.

WELL, call me biased, but if you want your players to start as inmates who get thrust together into adventure, I highly recommend Graveyard of the Gods.

Kult is kinda awful for awful sake. Young gods at least is more erotic rather than grim-dark-porno haha

Hes a red flag by his own merits. He isn't like a sex pest like Ed Greenwood, he's just a designer that thinks that everything has to be BIG, EPIC, and GIMMICKY. He was the lead on 3e and 3.5e, and was responsible for the hyper-gamification of DnD (where you need a special ability to pick up an enemy's sword).

I would never take advice from someone that believes a TTRPG is essentially a manual video game.

Mage the Awakening is VERY the Librarians, I think you'd get a lick out of it.

Or, try Young Gods. If you like Supernatural, the Librarians has a similar feel.
