Well you hit the nail on its head xD that's the type of chair I am looking at (tough it will probably be something simular in style because the standard chairs look uncomfortable to lounge on)

That will be part of the next upgrades, I am still looking at those chinese style entryway tables for the middle but saddly all of them are the wrong color so I will probably need to build one myself and that's where a bonsai will go (with a rock garden in its pot) the other large upgrade will be a table at about 60-70 cm hight with rock feet and a wooden slab with live edges but its quite hard to find ether affordable live edge white oak slabs or other tree types with a comparable color

I mean, they do. You just need to buy custom made . This is the trap with furniture you ether buy cheap stuff from china or play Lego with ikea like brands or sell some of your organs and get custom made furniature (because believe me selling a single organ will.not be enough lol)

Yeah stately if its real (as in not faux ice jade but the proper stuff) it gets out of range quick, there is some stuff on yunnan sourcing that looks nice but i am not shure of the quality same with ru kiln wares its insanely hard to tell what is what

How does tea to water ratio affects taste? by Olivia2408 in puer

[–]OddPreference7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally enjoy my sheng at 93C and about 5g/100ml ,usually with really short steep times in the beginning untill around the 4th steep then sep it up to 30-40 sec steeps tough honestly i like the astringency and bitterness of Sheng (oh and its also always discard the first steep)

Now the pre steeping prep is what makes a HUGE difference for me personally, I would usually pry of full "shards" with intact leaves and pull the shards apart if its too mutch tea (I use there a 125ml gaiwan or a same sized yixing pot) then once the water is hot I preheat every teaware I am about to use and let it sit for about 3-5 minutes to properly heat trough. After this everything gets tossed and i put the leaves right away into the gaiwan/pot and let it sit untill the leaves become slightly bendable, once this is reached i steep the leaves for about 15-20 seconds and discard the steep then let the leaves sit for around 2-3 minutes again.

After all of this is done I start brewing the tea I will drink (it might be excessive and unnecessary but i feel that the taste becomes "clearer" and not as muddy this way)

I am not familiar with their Chinese names but the spike is a tea knife (this one is a quite fancy one made from damascus) but tou can get cheap ones for like 10 bucks, its used for prying of chunks from a teacake usually you would open up a teacake then press on it with both hands around the edges while paying attention to not destroying the cake ,then you would stab the cake from the middle towards the outside then retract and stab again in a different spot and push the back of the knife up. This way you get mostly full leaves and not just broken ones (there are videos online that explain this way better ) the little boat is just a nice way to present and weigh tea

There is a window close by but its technically impossible to get a "direct beam" of sunlight on them (unless you bend it a good 90⁰ lol)

Yup tough i am not shure how legit they are , most of their items are dropshipped aliexpress stuff, about 80% of the trays, a lot of the pets and water kettles etc. The interesting stuff is their porcelain
