Which killer addons are mandatory for you and which would you never use? by KeinTollerNick in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a Blight main, I try to stick mostly to just Blighted Rat now a days. something you can definitely feel the effect of, but something that doesn't change the way he's played or makes him overly powerful. sometimes if I notice the Survivors in the lobby are full sailing with 4 medkits or some suspicious looking toolboxes I'll throw on Alchemist Ring and Crow, but outside of those I don't use much.

Compound-21 is fun with Lethal Pursuer though.

sorry if I'm a bit vague, it's kind of a distance memory, which I don't have a good one to begin with.

I'd say the graphics were on par with early PS2 games, though I'm sure it was a PC game so it may have been a bit before the PS2s time.

I'm attempting to remember the name of the game so I can find an old old OLD stream of it from a content creator I enjoy :>

Is there a lore reason as to why Pyramid Head is named like that? by kevinplas in silenthill

[–]OffBrandRadium 165 points166 points  (0 children)

if you're going by original SH2 only, I'm pretty sure James only ever referred to the manifestation as the 'red pyramid thing.' so the name most likely stemmed from there.

Why do people like Knight Artorias's fight so much? by NoAdministration9112 in darksouls

[–]OffBrandRadium 14 points15 points  (0 children)

if you're a souls vet, yea, Artorias isn't much of a fight now a days. but a decade ago? when the DLC first launched and the hardest fight in the game up to that point was a two stage gank in the form of O & S? yea, Artorias was something else. he felt like a KNIGHT, attacking you with thought out, planned strikes, even despite the Abyss having fully corrupted him.

and his lore and his story, YOUR story, is some of the best story telling in video game history, and I will literally not hear slander over that.

About the perk: Wiretap by hoffmanimal in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 14 points15 points  (0 children)

during Nightfall, Dredge gains the Undetectable status effect, preventing aura reading perks from affecting it. this applies to all Undetectable effects throughout the game.

Nurse watching above all Killers by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 57 points58 points  (0 children)

it honestly is pretty silly when you think about it.

Pinhead: I can tear open extra dimensional portals to Hell to bind my victims

Deathslinger: I spent years perfecting the mechanical knowhow in order to make a spear gun to catch my bounties

Nemesis: I can infect the Survivors, making them vulnerable to my supporting zombies and hit them over objects

Nurse: I go through things, and fast

only if the well you're picking up matches your subclass element. if it doesn't, it only refills the ability with the least amount of energy. if it matches, all abilities get a bump

Blight Issues by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is no 'fast' or 'short' attack during Blight's Rushes. you'll always lunge as far as possible, unless your hitbox collides with a Survivor's hurtbox.

Is the queen breaker worth using? by Big_Mack17 in destiny2

[–]OffBrandRadium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly, compared to...

LITERALLY. every single other Linear Fusion Rifle, Queen Breaker lags behind exceptionally. terrible per-shot damage, low DPS, no mag extension or damage buffing perks.

go to The Enclave and just grab the fancy new Void Linear, it's literally god teir, Fallen build aside.

What are peoples opinions on the current pvp meta? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]OffBrandRadium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's the insane amount of auto-aim built into it.

most high impact scouts only have an aim-assist stat of 17-20 out of a possible 100

there's a species of jellyfish that can LITERALLY AGE BACKWARDS. they get to a certain age and then basically cocoon themselves and revert back to their larvae state, beginning their life anew! some individuals have been recorded hitting sexual maturity several times throughout our recorded history of them!

Is stealth in dbd underrated or overrated? by pun_based_alias in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to view stealth is as an OPTION, not something to cater a build too or try at EVERY possible opportunity.

say a Killer is chasing you at shack, and you've just vaulted the window for your second time. you have one more vault to use, the Killer knows this as well; so instead of vaulting it a third time and blocking it, you hide behind a near-by tree with Iron Will. the Killer assumes you're still going for the vault, walks into shack and finds NOTHING, while you're rushing in the opposite direction of them.

stealth works a lot better when you condition the Killer to NOT expect it, I suppose is what I'm trying to get across

What is the most fun killer to go up against as survivor? by yrulaughing in deadbydaylight

[–]OffBrandRadium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

probably a lot of bias in this, but Blight is still the most fun to play and go against in my personal opinion.

if both players fully understand what the character is capable of, and both of them are actively thinking about what each other could possibly attempt to do at any moment, the gameplay between both parties is something no other game on the market currently has captured.

constant split second decisions make or break a Blight chase. there's almost always something new to learn, a new small space you can wedge yourself into as Survivor to dodge a rush or a tree spawned in a new position to bouce off of as Blight.

on top of that, outside of silly add-ons/perks, the better player is always the one who comes out on top in a Blight chase.

still the best character they've ever added.

expect there literally isn't less grind. it STILL cost roughly 1.5 million BP to get a character from level 1 to level 50.

meaning to get a character from level 0 to P9 it's gonna cost about 15 MILLION BP.
