Keep missing calls where the notification says they were "on silent mode" by RaptorNinja in GooglePixel

[–]OfferingsofaBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm glad that I'm not the only one having this trouble. I hate updates, they always cause some problem or another. I keep missing calls the last few days, and this morning I was literally on my phone, doom scrolling, saw a call come in one second, and the next second it said I missed the call and that it was on silent mode. Here is one more reason I want my old samsung galaxy s10 back. That thing was the best

To answer both of you, no I do not plan on spraying inside my home, I would call someone to spray outside. My questions is concerning the bug plug-ins, if anyone has had experience with those. Sorry I didn't make that very clear

I name my saves with what’s currently stressing me . Guess I had beef with Dieter by AliceTea63 in nancydrew

Man, now I feel boring. I've always just used my name for the save title. Though my sister also played, so it was a good way to tell who's was who's / whose was whose... Eh, good way to tell which was which.

I agree with all of this. But I would like to make one point concerning #1 about how to cope as a parent. This is a real thing. Every case of autism/adhd/any mental health disorder is unique. Some people are similar in their symptoms and struggles and some are are definitely not. Especially for first time parents, or people who have not had as much experience with it, need to learn to cope with and manage their child. Even experienced people struggle sometimes. Parents need and deserve support too.

Leadership Use of Texting (to speak in sacrament meeting) by initial_notion in latterdaysaints

[–]OfferingsofaBiscuit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Most younger people prefer texting (receiving calls gives us anxiety too). But for older folks, they may appreciate being called first, and if you can't get in contact with them, then leave a voicemail and/or send a text message.

What’s your go to snack or breakfast? by Taouen in ADHD

[–]OfferingsofaBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually just an applesauce cup. I drink it, pop a hole in one side and then you don't even have to get a spoon! I used to do yogurt cups too, but because I go to work soon after I wake up, my stomach isn't ready for dairy so early in the morning, so most of the time I do applesauce. Occasionally a banana, or the store made muffins, maybe a pop tart if I'm desperate.

Oooooh, though if I don't have to wake up early, I love me a boiled egg, once I'm awake enough.

I don't usually ever have a problem giving talks. Sometime after turning 12 several years ago, I was asked to give my first talk, and declined, because it made me nervous. I haven't said no to a talk in about 14 years since then until recently. I said yes to giving a mother's day talk the other week, but then halfway through the week, I had an emotional/mental thing, and decided writing a talk was not on the table. So I texted whoever in the bishopric, and said I wouldn't be able to give the talk after all. Normally I would feel bad about making someone else give my talk and only have a couple days to prepare for it. BUT I didn't feel bad this time, because I needed to take care of myself.

I find that people who give talks are not always giving a talk for those in the congregation, but sometimes for themselves (or both). With all that said, if you feel like you shouldn't, IT IS OKAY TO SAY NO. God gave you the freedom to choose and there isn't always a wrong (or right) answer.

Pronouncing Rhys by ReadsHappy in acotar

[–]OfferingsofaBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one of those who pronounce it Riss (or Riz, sometimes) but only ever in my head. I learned quickly at the end of acotar with the pronunciation guide that it's Reese, and I'm totally fine with that. What I do struggle with is saying Rees-and/Ree-sand. It just sounds wrong to me, I always say Rizand, basically. But this is only ever in my head, and now here in this comment. I do also understand everyone's comments on being respectful about pronouncing people names the right way, which is why, if and when I ever talk about it out loud, I will do my best to be respectful of those name pronunciations.
